Hello, my name is Jennifer Wheatly. I grew up in Georgetown and lived there until 2015 when we decided to move here to Leander. We are a very busy family. My 15 year old is a Sophomore at Leander High School where he plays football and baseball. My daughter is 7 and does competitive dance. There is always something going on between these 2! I have worked with children for over 20 years now. I am excited to be a part of the Primrose family and grow with everyone here!
Wednesday July 10th - Bring your favorite teddy bear to school today as we celebrate "Teddy Bear Picnic Day". The children will enjoy a picnic lunch made by our wonderful Chef Jennifer!
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
We’re the Rossell family: Jeff, Christina, and Jeffrey. Christina and I grew up in the town of New Milford, Connecticut. Following a brief relocation to the Boston, MA area, we decided to make a move to Texas in the winter of 2017 which was prior to the birth of our first child, Jeffrey James (lovingly referred to as JJ). While Christina was pregnant with JJ, we researched many daycare options in the Leander / Cedar Park area. Ultimately, we felt most comfortable entrusting Sara and her wonderful staff for childcare and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! JJ began his Primrose adventure when he was 6 months old and we’ve seen him grow tremendously in such a short period of time. It’s been a joy to watch him develop and form meaningful relationships with each of his teachers and classmates as he’s moved through the Infant and Toddler programs. As a family we enjoy the outdoors and we are often found walking around our neighborhood, playing at the local park or swimming in our community pool. JJ enjoys car rides on the weekends and requests at least one weekly visit to his favorite store (Home Depot) or to say hello to the “coffee man” at Dunkin Donuts. His natural curiosity and love of nature has resulted in us being frequent visitors of the zoo and the aquarium. In addition, we have gotten to know many of our neighbors and other local residents through JJ insisting that he pet any dog (or “rha-rha” in his words) that is within his sight. We are so grateful for the relationships we’ve all built in such a short period of time here at the Primrose of Crystal Falls, and we look forward to the upcoming months and years as JJ continues to grow with the rest of his Primrose family
Even when they’re thirsty, kids don’t always ask for a glass of water.
We know there are many benefits of getting outside, breathing fresh air and having the chance to play.
Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise — for both children and adults — but many parents often have the same question: “When should my child begin taking swimming lessons?”
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
