Primrose School of Concordville

Hi everyone!  My name is Miss Carol, and I am the new Chef here at Primrose.  I am from Delco, PA., Ridley to be exact and I currently reside in Upper Chichester, PA.  I have been in the childcare field off and on since I graduated high school both in Florida and Pennsylvania, and I have been in the food industry since I was 14 years old.

I am a single mom of 3 beautiful daughters, Taylor, Remi and Kaynnah. My 2 oldest are out on their own living in Florida and Oregon and my youngest, who is 17, is still at home and is a Junior in high school.

When I am not working, I enjoy going to the beach sunning and shelling, I love taking pictures, especially of beautiful landscapes, sunrises and sunsets and I absolutely love cooking for friends and family and hosting dinner parties.

My favorite book, one that I read avidly to my daughters is “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown. 

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here at Primrose, and serving, fun, well balanced, healthy meals to all.   Thank you, friends!

My name is Chloe, I'm a fun loving, energetic, caring person just to name a few. With 7 years of experience in childcare, I proudly hold a CDA specializing in infants and toddlers. Currently, I'm just a handful of classes away from completing my associates degree in early childhood education at DCCC. My next step is transferring to Neumann University as a Junior to pursue a Bachelors Degree in the same field.

As a proud mother to an incredible 10-year-old boy, we share a love for the beach, concerts, and tacos! My favorite children’s book is “Don’t Touch This Book” because I love interactive books that let children use their imagination! Among our beloved Primrose pals, Peanut the pony resonates with me the most. Symbolizing honesty, Peanut's values align perfectly with what I hold dear.

I'm absolutely thrilled to be rejoining the Primrose staff, this time as part of the kitchen support team! Looking forward to the journey ahead.

I'm Nancy Korejwo. I am the mother of two adult daughters, Nicole and Samantha. I grew up in Brookhaven and have lived in several different communities throughout Delaware County. I currently reside in Clifton Heights with my oldest daughter and our cat Milkshake. I have over 20 years experience working with children of all ages. I received my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Delaware Community College in 2015.

My favorite children's book is If you Give a Mouse a Cookie. On the weekends, I enjoy reading, watching TV and movies and playing word games on my phone. The Primrose character I most relate to is Og because I love to read!

I am most excited about helping our youngest students grow and develop.

Hello, my name is Josepha Miller and I am from Cheyney, PA. I have worked in the child care profession for over 10 years with lots of experience with infants and toddlers. I have a Bachelors of Arts in History and I received my CDA in Infants and Toddlers.

My favorite children's book is Pete the Cat and my favorite food is pasta. My favorite activity on the weekend is sleeping. The Primrose Character I relate to the most is Libby the Lamb because she stands for fairness which is so important.

I am super excited to be working here at Primrose. I am enjoying learning all about the infants and watching them grow and learn.

Hi. My name is Dyan Ezrah. I live in Aston but I am from the Downingtown/Coatesville area. I am a single mother of a 14 year old girl named Savannah.  I have been in a daycare for 2 years. Prior I was a home caregiver for the elderly for 7 years. I graduated high-school in 1990 and vocational school for horticulture.  Favorite food is Mexican. On weekends,  I spend time with family and relaxing. I relate to peanut the pony the most. I believe in being honest and a good person.  I am excited to get to know my new co workers and all the children.

Hi, my name is Chenise Goodman. My hometown is Philadelphia, Pa. I started in childcare at a young age caring for children in a home setting & have over 12 years of experience. Working with children is my passion, I love watching them grow and helping them reach their milestones. 

On the weekends, I love catching up on quality time with my 2 beautiful children & I also love having family time with my non-immediate family. My favorite food is Salmon & my favorite children's book is “Wild Things”. The Primrose character I relate to the most Billy the Duck.

Hi, my name is Samantha Kirk and I wanted to share a little about myself. I grew up in a small town near Elysburg, PA just a few miles away from Knoebles Amusement Park. I have lived in Delaware County for over 13 years and have worked in Child Care for 3 years.

I have six children total, four children of my own and two step children. I graduated high school in 2007 and acquired an associates degree in the Arts.

My favorite food is authentic Mexican and on the weekends, you can find me spending time with my children.

One of my favorite children’s book is Dear Zoo. I would say the Primrose character I relate to most is OG because I love to read.

I am super excited to watch the children learn new and exciting things. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

I'm Ms. Tyesha Simon and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am originally from New York City. I moved to Pennsylvania last year in August. When I was 17, I began working part-time in an in-home day care. This is when I knew I wanted to work in the child care field. I am currently enrolled in Delaware County Community College pursing my degree in Early Childhood Education.

My favorite food is pasta. My favorite weekend activity is movie night with my son. My favorite children's book is "If you give a Mouse a Cookie". The Primrose character I relate the most to is Molly the Cow. What I am most excited about this school year is getting to know all of the students and their families.

Hi, my name is Hailey Wagner and I live in Aston. I previously worked at a small daycare for 2 years in the toddler room.

My favorite food is sandwiches. On my free time, I’m either playing games on my laptop or out with my friends. My favorite children’s book is "Horton Hears A Who" by Dr. Seuss.

I feel I relate to Benjamin the Bear the most. I am always willing to help and be kind without expecting anything in return. I am excited to watch the children grow and see their big personalities expand.

Hi, I am Stephanie Brown.I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am from Newark, Delaware where I have twenty years of working in various child care centers throughout the Newark and Bear area. I recently graduated from Post University with my Associates of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my Bachelors of Science Degree in Child Studies.

My favorite food is pizza, especially pepperoni! My favorite weekend activity is spending time watching movies or documentaries about real life crimes. I would say my favorite book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. The Primrose Character I most relate to is Katie.I am always curious about meeting new people, their lives and anything else that pertains to their interests.

What I am most excited about this school year is getting to know the children and their families as well as seeing the children’s growth and development.

I am from Upper Darby, PA. I worked at Creative Caterpillars Kid, Connection Learning Center and at a Special Education School in Marple Township before coming to Primrose. I graduated from Upper Darby High School. My favorite foods are turkey wings and yellow rice. My favorite weekend activity is taking my son out to do fun activities together. My favorite children’s book is, "Pete The Cat". The Primrose character I most relate to is, Billy, because I love to play music and dance around. I am very excited to be here at Primrose getting to know your children and all the fun things we will learn together.

Hi, my name is Mar’Kiesha Grange and I am one of the young toddler teachers. I have worked with children for the last 15 years. I have worked in daycares in the Delco area and also at the YMCA as a before and aftercare teacher as well as a camp counselor. I graduated from Upper Darby High School.

I have two sons and two step-daughters. My favorite foods are pasta and seafood.  I love all Dr. Seuss  books. On the weekends, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our children. The Primrose character that I relate to the most would be Billy the duck because I love to sing and dance around.

Hi there! My name is Kaylee Barnes. I joined Primrose December 2022 as a support teacher but quickly became a teacher in our Toddler 3 room! I currently live in West Chester but I am originally from Lancaster County. I graduated from Pequea Valley High School in the year 2020. I previously worked in childcare at Building Blocks Learning Center in Malvern. This was the first step of me walking into teaching and I learned so much from those kids. I would work with children as young as infants, and as old as 12.

My favorite food would be muffins or tacos! My favorite children's book would be “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.” I find that children will read the book so many times and they will read along with me! My favorite weekend activity would be sipping on hot tea while stargazing. In the warmer weather, I would sit outside for hours and even do some astrophotography as my hobby. I would say that I relate to Og the most out of our awesome Primrose friends. Og teaches us about caring. I hope that I can guide every child under my care to realize how important it is to care for others and yourself. I hope they realize how beautiful of a character trait it truly is. I am most excited this year to watch the growth of each child as they develop more skills and qualities and see what they just might become one day.

Hi, my name is Danielle Ulit.  I’m originally from Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s in Health Behavior Science with a concentration in Health & Disability. I’ve always loved working with kids and look forward to making them smile! From volunteering to prior experience with child care, I find it very rewarding and enjoy making a positive impact in their lives.

On the weekends, you can find me trying new foods or splurging on ice cream. “Good Night Moon” is one of my favorite children’s books.  Peanut the Pony and Percy the Rooster are Primrose characters I relate to the most and believe they have lessons people of any age can remember! This school year, I’m excited to watch your children bloom, learn, and share many laughs and fun!

Hello, my name is Lauren Feilke and I want to share a little about myself. I grew up in Drexel Hill and graduated from Upper Darby High School in 2006. I took Votech for Early Childhood Education. I live in Springfield PA now for 3 years with my three kids. I have over 16 years of experience in child care. I was lucky and got to experience all different ages and I am currently a PCA teacher for Springfield Middle School. I'm working on going back to school this fall to get my associates degree in early childhood education or get my CDA in infants and toddlers. My favorite children's book is "I Love You Forever" and my favorite food is Italian.  Also on my down time, I like to spend time doing fun things with my children. I am excited to join Primrose to get to know the children and learn about their families, as well as watching them grow and learn new things everyday.

Hi! I am Ally Martin and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana but have been in Pennsylvania for about 2 years. I was a part-time nanny while I was in college and a full time nanny after I graduated. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Child Development and Counseling.

My favorite food has to be sushi or any type of pasta. I love to relax in a hammock with a good book on the weekends. My favorite children’s book is The Rainbow Fish. My favorite Primrose Character is Katie.

This school year, I am excited to help your children grow and learn new things.

Hello, my name is Nevaeh Smith and I am from Newark, Delaware. I graduated from Chester High School in 2021! I enjoy spending time with young children and finding new ways to learn through play.

I’ve been in childcare for about  5 years. My passion for working with kids began at an early age as my mother owned a daycare when I was a junior in High School and I've been working in learning centers every since!  My favorite thing to do to pass time is draw and paint pictures!  My favorite book as a child was “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”.  The Primrose character I relate to most has to be Erwin the dog because we share a passion for birthdays and art. I believe everyone should be celebrated on their special day in a special way.  I also believe art is the best way to express ourselves.

My name is Ciara Smith. My hometown is Philadelphia Pa. I have been working with children for a little over 11 years. For part of those years, I worked with children with special needs in the school district. I went to school and received my CDA in childcare in 2009. I love children and enjoy helping them learn and seeing them develop throughout their young lives.

My favorite food is fried fish (swai). On the weekend, I enjoy spending time with my 4 beautiful children and my husband. I love family time. My favorite children's book is Brown Bear. The primrose character I relate to is Percy the Rooster. This school year I'm excited about getting to know my students and helping them learn new things and develop.

Hi friends and families! My name is Kayleigh Matthews. I am 24, originally from Ridley Park. I’ve had a passion for children since my 1st out of 4 sisters were born. I have at home experience as well as three years in a local child care center. I am a recent graduate from cosmetology school and am thrilled to be here at Primrose back doing what I love! My favorite food is pasta and I also love animal print.

When I am not in the classroom you can catch me outside soaking up the sun with my boyfriend or inside playing with my three cats Beans, Brad and Chad. My most relatable Primrose friend would be Katie the cat. I am caring and love to help others!  I am so very excited to meet everyone!

Hello! I am Ms. Hannah and I am excited to be in the Preschool Pathways Classroom. I knew I would enjoy working with children after taking a Child Development Class. I enjoyed learning all about children’s development and how to help them learn and grow. My favorite things to teach the children are the four seasons and friendship. I love coming up with sensory activities and reading stories to them.

My favorite children’s book is "The Three Bears". I like to build a trustful relationship with children to give them a safe environment to learn and grow. I enjoy music and dancing. I also like to watch horror movies and explore spirituality and astrology.

Hi, I am Brittney Riddle and I am from Newark, Delaware. I have studied Elementary Education at Delaware Technology Community College. I havemany years of experience as a lead teacher, nanny and babysitter.

My favorite foods are pasta, tacos and BBQ. On the weekends, I like to go camping or go to the beach. I also like to cook or bake new things. My favorite children’s book is The Witch Next Door by Norman Bridwell which is the first book I learned to read.

The Primrose Character I most relate to is Molly because we have the same birthday. What I am most excited about this year is getting to know the children and getting to watch them grow educationally and personality wise.

Hi! My name is Ally Stoeckle and I am originally from Springfield New Jersey. I have had experience as a baby sitter and camp counselor before I started working in Health Care as a Phlebotomist and became passionate for making the children visits a little more fun and easy for them.

My favorite food would be my Nonna's homemade pasta. I am an avid fisher-woman and on the weekends you can find me fishing on my kayak. My favorite children's book is "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie"; my mom used to read it to me when I was little. I mostly relate to Benjamin the Bear because he represents kindness and generosity.

What I am most looking forward to this year is forming close bonds with the children and teaching them new things while simultaneously having lots of fun!

Hello, my name is Chante Emmens-Neal. My home town is Chester, Pa. I have been working in the child care profession for 5 years. I have always had a passion for working with children since I was 13 years old.  I went to school to obtain my CDA and received it in June of 2021.

Hello! My name is Ms. Carla Johnson and I will be one of the teachers in Preschool 4! I graduated from Cheyney University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Before becoming employed at Primrose, I worked for Krapfs Brother’s and Sons as a Bus Monitor. I have also worked with children for more then ten years, and I currently teach Children’s Sunday School at the First Baptist Church of Passtown. When I am not playing with the little ones in my classroom, I love to sing!  I am so excited to join the Primrose staff, and look forward to working with your children.

Hi, my name is Loretta Bowen and I am from Folcroft, PA. I have over 18 years of experience in the Early Childhood profession. I am currently enrolled at Delaware Community College for Early Childhood Education.

"Hello everyone! My name is Alexia Gramlick, or better known as Ms. Lexi to our young friends. My hometown is Prospect Park, but I currently reside in Ridley, Pa. I have recently finished my bachelors degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology, and am currently pursuing my masters degree. My child care experience includes the many families I have babysat for as well as taking care of my two younger sisters. My favorite food is chicken nachos and I spend my weekends with my family or at the bookstore! My favorite children's book is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, as that was a childhood favorite of mine. 

Out of all the Primrose friends, I relate most to Og the Bookworm! Og loves books almost as much as I do, and he symbolizes what it means to be a caring individual. I believe it is important to care for not only yourself, but the others around you so we can all be happy together! This school year I am very excited to get to know each and every young friend in the classroom and help them grow intellectually, socially, and morally."

Hi, I am Maher Afroz Sayed. I am from Glen mills, Pennsylvania. I have over 12 years experience working with kids and I love it. I have received degree in Literature (B.A) & Advanced degree in Education (B.Ed).

We are a beautiful family of 5, my husband, daughter (Sufi), dog (Smokey ) & cat (Simba). On weekends, we love spending time together as a family. I enjoy reading, cooking & hiking. I enjoy Mediterranean cuisine the most.

My favorite Chidren’s books are by Junie B. Jones as she is very funny.  The Primose character I relate to is Molly because it symbolizes respect for others . I am most excited this year to instill the love for learning in kids which will help strengthen their foundation for their future.

Hi, my name is Jennifer Hanners and I’m thrilled to be part of the Primrose School team. I’ve been an a early Childhood Professional for over twenty years. In that time, I have found that working with young children is my true passion. I graduated from Delaware County Community with an Associate in Applied Science and decided to continue my education at Neumann University in their Educational Studies program focusing in Early Childhood /Special Education. I look forward to utilizing my experience with the children in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom.

When I’m not in a classroom, I’m home with my family of 4 and 2 fur babies. Everyone keeps me really busy but I always seem to find time for things that I enjoy , such as gardening, exercising, listening to Broadway musicals, singing, cooking, traveling, and relaxing with a really good fiction novel.

My name is Ninoschka Pizarro but you can call me Ms. Nino. I was born in San Juan Puerto Rico & moved to Pennsylvania when I was four years old. I have been working with children for about eight years. I have always enjoyed the early childhood education field because I get to play an enormous role in the early stages of a child’s life. I have an Early Childhood Education Associates Degree.

My favorite food is rice and pigeon peas with pork shoulder, but if I could have one last thing to eat, it would be cheesecake. My favorite weekend activity is laying on the couch with my dog and watching movies. My favorite children’s book is “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”.  The Primrose character I relate to the most is Billy the Duck. I am a big person of keeping my word, when I promise something I follow through. Billy also enjoys a good tune and sings along which I love to do. I find myself humming and creating new songs in the classroom and singing along to fun songs with my friends.

For this year, I am most excited about meeting new people & building relationships with them. And most importantly, making a difference in a child’s life.

Hello, my name is Madison Niness and I am from Wayne, PA - before coming to Primrose, I worked at a performing Arts School. I have a degree in Theater Performance and Creative Writing from Susquehanna University. I am also working towards my CDA. I love working with children and helping them learn about the world around them.

On the weekends, I love to spend time with my family and friends - especially when it involves Italian Food. I also participate in local theatre productions whenever I have the chance.

My favorite children's book series is the Junie B. Jones books - she is quirky and adventurous, just like me. I relate mostly with OG because he is the friend that loves books, just like me!

I can't wait to help my class discover their own passions this year.

Hello, my name is Sasmita Sahoo and I am from Garnet Valley. I have obtained my Master’s in Art from India and have completed my Associate Teaching Degree in Early Childhood Education from Irvine Valley College. This is my 6th year as an early childcare specialist. I absolutely love the exploring, learning and fun we get to experience with the curious young minds.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Maunesh and we have two energetic boys. Being a mother of two children and nurturing them throughout has taught me a lot which helps me in this profession.

Hey! I am Brittany and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I have worked with children on and off for 20 years. I started when I was 15. I have an 11 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. I graduated from Chichester High School and recently got my CDA in Preschool Education. I love working with children and watching their growth and personalities shine.

My favorite book is "Corduroy". I love that it shows children that no matter what, someone cares. I love to read and watch reality TV in my very little spare time.

I am just so excited to work with your children and provide them with a great learning experience.

Hi! My name is Alyssa Jones & I’m from Glenolden, PA.  I’ve been working in child care for about 6 years with ages from 8 weeks to 13 years old. I attended Interboro High school and graduated in 2018, then attended Neumann University in the Early Education program for about 3.5 years.  I’m currently finishing out my degree at Delaware Community College in the early education program. My favorite food would have to be either a pasta dish of any kind or a chicken caesar salad. My favorite weekend activity is relaxing with my family or going out and being with all my friends. But my all time favorite activity whether it’s the weekend or during the week is attending a concert. As a child, my favorite books to read were the Junie B. Jones Collection. The Primrose friend that I relate to is Megy the pig. I relate to her the most because I love having conversations with people and can hold a really strong conversation. Lastly, the thing I’m looking forward to this school year is to grow stronger as a teacher, make an impact on the children and to learn from my peers.

 

Hi, I am Joanna Rassias. I grew up & went to school in the Chadds Ford area.  I have loved and worked with kids from the birth of my little brother (who is 12 years younger than me); to babysitting in middle school; to my teacher academy experience in high school; to my college student teaching experiences. I have been a Pre K and Kindergarten teacher & came from the Primrose in Philadelphia. I have my bachelor of Arts in Early education from Temple University. My favorite food is steak & fries. My favorite book is “Oh the Places We Will Go”. On my free time, I love to spend time with my friends & family; I love to read; I love to travel & explore new places; I love to walk & play with my 2 dogs-I have 2 dalmations-and they love to run! I am excited to get to know my children in the class and their families.  I love Erwin the Dog who teaches friendship – I enjoy watching the children make friends and help each other. I also appreciate Katie the Cat who teaches cooperation and working together, it’s always rewarding to see students support and help each other. I enjoy seeing smiles on the children’s faces especially when they accomplish something new and become so proud of themselves! I am looking forward to a fun & exciting year ahead!

Hello, my name is Suzanne Casey and I live in Malvern, PA.  I am a graduate of West Chester University where I earned a B.S. of Elementary Education.  I have over 27 years experience teaching children. I have extensive experience teaching children ages Pre-K through 8th grade. 

Since working at Primrose, I have spent a lot of time in every classroom and have gotten to know all the children, many, many parents as well as the hard working, caring staff which has been an amazing experience.  My favorite food is seafood, especially Alaskan king crab legs. My favorite place to spend my free time is at the beach, any time of the year.  I spend a lot of time at the Jersey shore with my loved ones. I am also passionate about gardening and it feeds my soul.

My favorite Children's book is "GoodNight Moon", as my own children loved reading the book before bedtime.  My favorite Primrose character is Molly because respect for each other is foremost.  I look forward to nurturing, guiding and teaching our young children and supporting their parents.

Hey there! I’m Dolores. I grew up in Bakersfield, California, but I’ve been living in Pennsylvania with my partner for the past few years. I graduated from Bakersfield College with an Associates in Arts, majoring in American Sign Language and taking Child Development courses as well. I’m the seventh of thirteen kids and my mother worked full-time, so growing up, I had plenty of experience with taking care of children.

My favorite food is always changing, but right now, I am especially fond of salmon. On the weekends, I like to read, play video games, or go out and explore in the woods. My favorite children’s book is Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a short story about the connections we make with those who have touched our lives. I relate most to Og the Bookworm because caring for others is one of my core values, and I truly do think a little care can go a long way. This year, I am the most excited about meeting all of the children, teachers, and parents, and getting to work with them. It’s always wonderful to meet new people, and I hope we can all have a positive effect on each other’s lives.

Hi, my name is Sue Hastie and I’m a support teacher. I am originally from England and have lived in Concordville for almost 30 years. I love working in early education and have over 20 years experience teaching toddlers and young children at Elam Hearts and Hands Preschool. On weekends I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, and especially love going to concerts. One of my favorite childrens books is "Brown Bear Brown Bear" by Eric Carle, the illustrations are so colorful, and I love to see the children’s excitement when they join in with me. The Primrose character I relate to most is Katie, she is curious and caring – and I love cats! I am looking forward to getting to know all the children at Primrose, helping them learn and make new friends.
