  • Christina Barker, School Director

    Christina Barker

    School Director

    Christina Barker will be the Assistant Director of the Primrose School of Concordville. Christina graduated Cum Laude from Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education. She has over 25 years of experience in education teaching both elementary and preschool age children. Christina has been happily married to her husband, Adam, for 23 years and they have 3 children. Her oldest daughter Caitlin, attends East Stroudsburg University and is a goalie on their D2 field hockey team. Her son, Gavin is a sophomore at Rustin High School and is a soccer goalie for both his high school team as well as Penn Fusion. Her youngest daughter, Paige, is an eighth grader at Stetson Middle School and is a competitive All-Star cheerleader. When not at Primrose, Christina enjoys spending time at her children’s sporting events, reading, and hiking with her rescued German Shepard-Gunner and her English Labrador - JJ.

    I am beyond excited to be a part of the leadership team at the Primrose School of Concordville. I truly believe in the Primrose vision, “To deliver the best and most trusted early education and care for children.” The Primrose principles of service and proprietary Balanced Learning Curriculum along with passionate owners, leaders and teachers encourage children to develop curiosity, creativity, competence and compassion through a day of purposeful play and nurturing guidance. I look forward to helping the Primrose School become a beloved part of the Glen Mills, Thornton, West Chester and surrounding community.

    Hello, my name is Kelly Kingsborough and I am from Ridley Park, PA. I have over 20 years of childcare experience ranging from nannying infants to teaching pre-kindergarten, I have worked with all ages. I have received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Harcum College. I have been married for 21 years and have 2 children. My daughter is a junior at West Virginia University and my son will be attending Kutztown University this Fall. My favorite weekend activities are hanging out with family and friends, going to the beach and walking my English Bulldog, Nova Jean. My favorite food is loaded french fries and my favorite book is Stand Tall Molly Lou Mellon by Patty Lovell, it teaches children to be confident and believe in yourself and the world will believe in you too. The Primrose character I most relate to would be Molly because I believe respecting others is very important. I am excited to be part of the Primrose Leadership team and look forward to contributing to such an amazing school.

    Hello, my name is Amanda Small. I grew up in Ridley Township, but have lived the last four years in Avondale. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Neumann University with a BA in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and a MS in Instructional Leadership in Education. I have over twelve years of teaching experience and most recently taught in both Lower and Upper Elementary classes at a Montessori school.

    My favorite children's books are the Pete the Cat books. When not at Primrose I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and watching movies.

    Hi, my name is Kristen Goddard and I am so excited to be part of the Primrose family. I am from West Chester, Pa and have lived there all my life. I am married to my wonderful husband, Kris for 21 years and we have two children. Ryan is a Temple Graduate and Jenna is studying to be a vet tech. I have worked in the Early Childhood Profession for over 30 years. I have been in classrooms with all ages from babies to Pre-Kindergarten and have enjoyed them all. My favorite children's book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and my favorite food is Shrimp Alfredo. On the weekends, I enjoy reading, relaxing by the pool and playing games with my family. I look forward to getting to know all of the families here at Primrose and watching the children learn and grow.

    A native of Nanjing China, Rebecca studied ballet for most of her early years at Nanjing Little Red Flower Performing School. After she graduated from Nanjing University she came to the United States and pursued a career in the food industry specializing in the production of Asian Cuisine.

    Rebecca married to her husband Jim Jordan. She is the proud mother of her daughter Rachael 14 and son James 11. Both honor students. She enjoys taking care of babies for family members and friends. She is passionate about working with young children from teaching children's martial arts and the study of Mandarin.

    Rebecca is proficient in several disciplines of martial arts holding black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do as well as training Jiu Jitsu.

    I'm Nancy Korejwo. I am the mother of two adult daughters, Nicole and Samantha. I grew up in Brookhaven and have lived in several different communities throughout Delaware County. I currently reside in Lansdowne with my oldest daughter and our cat Milkshake. I have over 20 years experience working with children of all ages. I received my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Delaware Community College in 2015.

    My favorite children's book is If you Give a Mouse a Cookie. On the weekends, I enjoy reading, watching TV and movies and playing word games on my phone. The Primrose character I most relate to is Og because I love to read!

    I am most excited about helping our youngest students grow and develop.

    Hello, my name is Josepha Miller and I am from Cheyney, PA. I have worked in the child care profession for over 10 years with lots of experience with infants and toddlers. I have a Bachelors of Arts in History and I received my CDA in Infants and Toddlers.

    My favorite children's book is Pete the Cat and my favorite food is pasta. My favorite activity on the weekend is sleeping. The Primrose Character I relate to the most is Libby the Lamb because she stands for fairness which is so important.

    I am super excited to be working here at Primrose. I am enjoying learning all about the infants and watching them grow and learn.

    My name is Ashley Mercer and my home town is Philadelphia, PA. I have been working in the child care field for 7 years. I have experience with all ages but my favorite are the infants.

    My favorite foods are seafood and ice cream. On the weekends, I love to go shopping and having fun with family and friends.

    Hi, my name is Maureen Dombroski and I am from Wilmington, Delaware. I have a Bachelors in Psychology/Education from Mount Saint Mary's University. I have spent many years as a substitute teacher. My favorite food is chicken and my favorite children's book is "Where the Wild Things Are". On the weekends, I enjoy reading and spending time with my two children Billy and Meghan. I relate to two of Primrose's Characters which are Megy and Billy. I am so excited to spend time with all the children and getting to know the Primrose families.

    I am from Claymont, Delaware and I have experience as a substitute teacher for well over five years.

    I received my Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Criminal Justice and recieved my CDA in Infant and Toddler Education currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Education. I love being a part of teaching children, and watching them develop. On the weekends I like spending time with my family watching movies, going to the park and visiting our local library. My favorite food is pizza and "Stuart Little" is my favorite children's book. Billy is my favorite Primrose character because I love music. I am very excited about being a part of the Primrose family and helping to enrich the lives of our children.

    I'm Ms. Tyesha Simon and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am originally from New York City. I moved to Pennsylvania last year in August. When I was 17, I began working part-time in an in-home day care. This is when I knew I wanted to work in the child care field. I am currently enrolled in Delaware County Community College pursing my degree in Early Childhood Education.

    My favorite food is pasta. My favorite weekend activity is movie night with my son. My favorite children's book is "If you give a Mouse a Cookie". The Primrose character I relate the most to is Molly the Cow. What I am most excited about this school year is getting to know all of the students and their families.

    I am from Upper Darby, PA. I worked at Creative Caterpillars Kid, Connection Learning Center and at a Special Education School in Marple Township before coming to Primrose. I graduated from Upper Darby High School. My favorite foods are turkey wings and yellow rice. My favorite weekend activity is taking my son out to do fun activities together. My favorite children’s book is, "Pete The Cat". The Primrose character I most relate to is, Billy, because I love to play music and dance around. I am very excited to be here at Primrose getting to know your children and all the fun things we will learn together.

    Hi, my name is Samantha Kirk and I wanted to share a little about myself. I grew up in a small town near Elysburg, PA just a few miles away from Knoebles Amusement Park. I have lived in Delaware County for over 13 years and have worked in Child Care for 3 years.

    I have six children total, four children of my own and two step children. I graduated high school in 2007 and acquired an associates degree in the Arts.

    My favorite food is authentic Mexican and on the weekends, you can find me spending time with my children.

    One of my favorite children’s book is Dear Zoo. I would say the Primrose character I relate to most is OG because I love to read.

    I am super excited to watch the children learn new and exciting things. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

    Hi! My name is Chloe Cicala. I’m from Drexel Hill PA, but have just recently relocated to Wilmington DE. I’ve been in childcare for 5 years now and hold a CDA in infants and toddlers. If I had to pick a favorite food I’d have to go with tacos, but pasta is a close second. My favorite children’s book is “Don’t Touch This Book” because I love interactive books and anything that lets children use their imagination! My favorite weekend activity is taking trips to our beach house and finding new things to do and see. While I love all the Primrose characters, the one I most relate to is Peanut the pony because he stands for honesty. Being honest to yourself and others is something I try to instill in all children within my care. I’m most excited to get to know each child and family and to take part in shaping their curiosity and knowledge of the world!

    Hello, my name is Nikki, and I have leaved in many places in the United States and Europe. I was raised in the military life. I have made being a preschool teacher my career over the past 22 years. I have loved working with children even as a young teen babysitting all through high school. I have learned so much over the 22 years working professionally as a teacher. I went to Philadelphia Community College where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have many hours of trainings in all aspects of Early Childhood Education. I am also a mom of 3. My favorite food is Caesar salad with salmon or shrimp and seafood tacos. I enjoy reading and if it is warm and sunny you will find me at the beach. My favorite children's book is Oh the Places You'll Go because of all the possibilities life offers from childhood to being a young adult. I am looking forward to this coming year as well as becoming a member of the Primrose Family. I want to earn the trust of the children and resect of my co-workers.

    Hi, I am Stephanie Brown.I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am from Newark, Delaware where I have twenty years of working in various child care centers throughout the Newark and Bear area. I recently graduated from Post University with my Associates of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my Bachelors of Science Degree in Child Studies.

    My favorite food is pizza, especially pepperoni! My favorite weekend activity is spending time watching movies or documentaries about real life crimes. I would say my favorite book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. The Primrose Character I most relate to is Katie.I am always curious about meeting new people, their lives and anything else that pertains to their interests.

    What I am most excited about this school year is getting to know the children and their families as well as seeing the children’s growth and development.

My favorite food is seafood and my favorite children's book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. My favorite Primrose Friend is "Og" the bookworm. I feel I relate to him because I have a love for reading and also storytelling. I truly love working with children and the thing that I am most excited about when joining Primrose School of Concordville is the opportunity to teacher children as well as learning from the things that they can teach me.

    My name is Ciara Smith. My hometown is Philadelphia Pa. I have been working with children for a little over 11 years. For part of those years, I worked with children with special needs in the school district. I went to school and received my CDA in childcare in 2009. I love children and enjoy helping them learn and seeing them develop throughout their young lives.

    My favorite food is fried fish (swai). On the weekend, I enjoy spending time with my 4 beautiful children and my husband. I love family time. My favorite children's book is Brown Bear. The primrose character I relate to is Percy the Rooster. This school year I'm excited about getting to know my students and helping them learn new things and develop.

    I’m Amanda Munro. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am from originally from Norwood, Pa, but now reside in Prospect Park, Pa with my husband and son. I am a Cum Laude graduate of Neumann University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education. I am also a Pennsylvania Certified Teacher in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education. My favorite food is Roast Beef sandwiches and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream (the green kind). During my free time I like to go to the park with my family and feed the ducks. I also like to snuggle up and dive into a good book or watch a movie! My favorite children’s book is "Oh, Baby, the Places You’ll Go!" by Dr. Seuss. My favorite Primrose character is Og because I love to read and learn new and interesting information. I am most excited about being apart of the students learning experiences!

    I’m Tiffany Korczynski. I wanted to tell you a little about myself! I am a Ridley High School graduate, however, I have lived in my hometown of Chichester, PA for the last 15 years! I am currently attending Delaware County Community College for Early Education, and I plan on transferring to continue my education!

    My favorite food is Kielbasa and I love my Mocha Iced Coffee! Kielbasa is just Polish sausage. I spend most of my weekends spending time with my siblings and/or their children (I have 5 nephews and 4 nieces… with another on the way). My favorite children’s book is Elmer… it is my favorite because it represents that everybody is unique and we should never change for anybody.

    A Primrose Character I most relate to Ally! I believe that responsibility and priorities are extremely important, just like Ally! I am most excited about all the amazing experiences I get to experience with our amazing friends!

    Hi, my name is Jennifer Hanners and I’m thrilled to be part of the Primrose School team. I’ve been an a early Childhood Professional for over twenty years. In that time, I have found that working with young children is my true passion. I graduated from Delaware County Community with an Associate in Applied Science and decided to continue my education at Neumann University in their Educational Studies program focusing in Early Childhood /Special Education. I look forward to utilizing my experience with the children in the Preschool Pathways room.

    When I’m not in a classroom, I’m home with my family of 4 and 2 fur babies. Everyone keeps me really busy but I always seem to find time for things that I enjoy , such as gardening, exercising, listening to Broadway musicals, singing, cooking, traveling, and relaxing with a really good fiction novel.

I have obtained my Master’s in Art from India and have completed my Associate Teaching Degree in Early Childhood Education from Irvine Valley College. This is my 6th year as an early childcare specialist. I absolutely love the exploring, learning and fun we get to experience with the curious young minds.

    I am married to my wonderful husband, Maunesh and we have two energetic boys. Being a mother of two children and nurturing them throughout has taught me a lot which helps me in this profession.

    Hi, I am Victoria Scandle. I am from Morton, Pa. I have over 14 years of Childcare experience with various ages and was a Pre-K Counts teacher. I received my Associates in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Delaware Community College.

    My favorite food is Chicken Dumplings. On the weekends, I enjoy taking walks with my family and having movie nights. My favorite children’s book is Sky Fire. The Primrose Character I most relate to is Molly because she symbolizes respect for others.

    What I am most excited about this year is getting to know the children and their families as well as making new memories.

Currently, I am finishing my bachelors of science in special education at Liberty University online. I have 18 years of experience in the childcare field, 9 years volunteering and 9 years of professional experience. My professional experience consists of 6 years in an elementary school, 1 year in a residential facility, and 2 years in childcare. I also have a background in behavior management. In my spare time I am a special needs cheerleading coach

    My name is Ms. Johnston (Ms. J), and I am from Reading, PA, and currently live in Media, PA . I have 4 years experience in teaching and creating S.T.E.A.M., art and summer programs for children, 3 years of experience in teaching for Early Childhood Education, and 8 years of creating and coordinating art and recreational programs for people of all ages. I have a CDA for ages 3-5, a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater, and additional college education in Biology, Nursing and Communications.

    I am a total foodie; I particularly love Japanese cuisine, Indian cuisine, Southern comfort foods, breakfast foods garlicky potatoes and greens, and almost anything pasta. My favorite treats include dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, loose leaf herbal tea, pastries and ice cream…. it's hard to choose a favorite food.

    I love creating all sorts of art (especially functional art) and creative content! I love reading new things in the world of science, board game days, going to escape rooms, being out in nature, rock climbing, running traveling and having other fun adventures. I also love having quiet moments to reflect and get spiritual, and enjoy and be grateful for the blessings in my life. "Today is Monday", by Eric Carole will always hold a special place in my heart. I also love the book "We Are Water Protectors", by Carole Lindstrom.

    The Primrose Friends I most relate to are Erwin, Benjamin, Megy, and Mia. I love art and Friendship like Erwin, I love Science like Benjamin, and I value Conservation and Citizenship like Megy and Mia!

    I’m Paula Danneker. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.

    I was born and raised in Williamsport, PA. This is in Lycoming County and it is the home of the Little League World Series. I graduated from Loyalsock Township High School. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, as well as teaching certificates in Elementary and Special Education from Carlow University and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

    I taught Special Education classes for 4 years with BLaST Intermediate Unit. I taught Kindergarten in Northern Tioga School District. I have taught Pre-K Counts classrooms with Sonrise Christian Day School and DCIU. Most recently I taught preschool and Pre-K classrooms for Step By Step Learning Center in Holmes, PA.

    My favorite food is Lasagna. My mornings begin with a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey. I enjoy eating ice cream any time of the year, seriously. My favorite weekend activity is spending time with my twin great nieces and their little brother who is 7 months old. They make me stay young and just make me smile. My favorite children’s book is Eric Carle’s Very Hungry Caterpillar.

    Rashi has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Rashi also studied nursing while in school and was introduced to child development during that coursework. Rashi believes that children's' lives are like a canvas. You invest in building each child's character by painting it everyday with a smile, positive attitude and a kind and humble heart. With a colorful outlook each child will contribute to a strong foundation to creating a masterpiece! Rashi has a daughter who is currently in college at NYU. She stayed at home with her for several years and partnered with her preschool teacher to encourage confidence in enjoying theater, dance and academics.

    My Favorite food is Seafood. On the weekend, I like to hangout with my family and go for long walks with my dog Daisy. My favorite children's book is Judy B. Jones. I have the whole book collection.

My favorite children's books are "Olivia the pig" and "The little engine that could". My favorite Primrose character is Megy the pig because when I was a kid, I would read "Olivia the pig" stories all the time. I am most excited about joining the primrose family ecause of the opportunity to lerarn the Primrose way.
