This Earth Day we wanted to teach our little ones that they can take small steps to make a BIG impact on their environment! That's why we partnered with the Bay Area Alliance for Youth and Families to throw a social-distanced Earth Day planting party!
To celebrate students came out the Primrose Patch after school to plant pollinator-friendly wildflowers in cute flowerpots they got to take home. They have been learning all about plants and natural resources at school, so it was a great curriculum tie-in as well!
To make the party even more special the Bay Area Alliance put together gift bags for each family to take home with a safe medicine disposal kit inside! We taught our children and families that disposing medicine by flushing it can contaminate the water supply so it is better for the environment to dispose of medicine appropriately. It was great to partner with Bay Area Alliance to support their goal of safe, drug-free homes while teaching our children about conservation at the same time!
