Our voters have spoken and this year, the Educator of the Year voting lead to a tie! Our teachers are all so awesome that there's no need to call a recount. Instead we're happy to celebrate both of the amazing teachers that won.
Ms. Salyer is our Infant I Lead Teacher. She has been with our school for three years and during those three years has formed meaningful relationships with every student in our building. If we need a volunteer for a special event, Ms. Salyer is the first one to sign up. If a student has a birthday or gets sick, Ms. Salyer will always take personal time to make that child a card. Ms. Salyer always goes the extra mile so it's no wonder that she's made such a great impression on our students! Congratulations, Ms. Salyer!
Ms. Watkins is our Pre-K Lead Teacher! Ms. Watkins has been with us for about a year and a half. Not just anyone can walk into a classroom of 20 four-year-olds and make sure that every single one of those children is happy and learning but Ms. Watkins does just that every day. Ms. Watkins' strengths are working with each child individually to make sure that every single one of her students is able to succeed and she does it with a smile on her face. Ms. Watkins' students know that she loves them and is there to support them so we're not surprised that they showed support for her love on election day! Congratulations, Ms. Salyer!
