Health & Safety Practices in Place

GENERAL

  • Contact-less sign in/out via QRG scan from cell phone
  • Daily temperature checks for all students, teachers, and staff
  • Cloth face coverings optional for teachers & children
  • Children & Staff presenting a fever are asked to remain at home until they are fever free (without the aid of fever reducing medication) or cleared by a pediatrician for at least 24 hours
  • Continued training of teachers on common signs of illness in children, and placing signage in every classroom to keep signs of illness top of mind
  • Continuous health & safety training for our staff, including first aid and CPR certification
  • Reduction in student-teacher-ratios

CLEANING

  • Frequent hand-washing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly
  • All classrooms are disinfected throughout the day with a solution adhering to state guidelines for disinfection so that it kills germs
  • Daily Cleaning Service with a heightened focus on sanitation of hard surfaces in classrooms as well as adult & child restrooms using CDC approved sanitation solutions
  • Weekly Deep Clean of the school of all classrooms (even those not currently in use) using an electrostatic disinfection/sanitizer system
  • Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys:
    • When an infant or young toddler finish playing with a toy, it is retrieved and placed in a bin reserved for dirty toys to be washed/sanitized
    • “Dirty Toys” are immersed in a bleach solution and allowed it to soak for 10-20 minutes before being rinsed then air dried, while soft toys are laundered daily
  • Leadership Team has also increased the frequency of hard surface sanitation of all public areas (i.e. Entry/Classroom Door handles, Restrooms, etc.) throughout the day
