Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourMeet Brian and Melissa Mart, proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Chapel Hill at Briar Chapel. Longtime residents of the Triangle area, the Marts are thrilled to open their first Primrose school and bring the Primrose Experience to children and families in Briar Chapel and Chapel Hill.
The Marts were first introduced to Primrose Schools when they were searching for an early education and care provider for their daughter. After enrolling her at a local Primrose school in the Triangle area when she was just three months old, they were impressed by the growth and skills she quickly developed thanks to the Primrose Balanced Learning ® curriculum.
After 20 years in corporate America, the Marts were ready to begin their entrepreneurial journey in a field that allowed them to spend more time with their daughter and give back to the community. After years of seeing the passion, joy and community impact the Franchise Owners at their daughter’s Primrose school had, they realized opening a Primrose school would be the business venture they had always desired to pursue.
"Starting a Primrose school in our community has been a wonderful opportunity to do something we are passionate about, while providing premier early education and care for local families. Our goal is to offer parents an atmosphere where they can have peace of mind that their children are safe and happy while receiving a quality education. This is more than just a business to us, it is a family of staff, students and parents all working together to forge a better future for all children."
Our Balanced Learning approach to child care makes us different than an ordinary Chapel Hill daycare. We are conveniently located on Falling Springs Drive, right at the entrance to the Briar Chapel community in the Veranda.

Our Balanced Learning® approach weaves in character development and life skills into daily learning experiences because we believe who children become is as important as what they know.
After watching our caterpillars grow, turn into a chrysalis, and then emerge as a butterfly, our students were excited to release them to nature.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Our new exclusive Harmony & Heart® program integrates our proprietary music and books in a variety of thoughtful ways each day. Through learning about music, while simultaneously being exposed to concepts in math, language, and character development, your child will grow as a musician, a student, and a person.
Our staff enjoyed a week at "Camp Primrose" for Staff Appreciation Week. They were treated to gifts, meals, and treats from the Leadership Team & parents throughout their camping experience. We ended the week with an old fashion cookout with Master Chef, Mr. Mart and several parent volunteers. It was an amazing week all in all!
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
Our families enjoyed a pizza box night with Marco's Pizza in honor of our Spring Fling events; generating $750! Thank you for your support in our efforts to raise money for Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill and Primrose Schools Children's Foundations.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
Our students, families and staff enjoyed our Spring Hat Parade in celebration of the first day of Spring. We are excited to see warmer temperatures and more sunshine!
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
Thank you Primrose families for donating 1,078 books for Chatham Reads! Throughout the month of February, we celebrated our nation of diverse readers while helping to raise awareness of the importance of Early Childhood Literacy.
To celebrate, we invited local community members such as Han from 501 Pharmacy, Sheriff Mike Roberson, local author Dr. Mounce, and the UNC Cheerleaders as guest readers. Our students and staff enjoyed a day full of literacy and fun!
Here at Primrose, we strongly believe who children become is just as important as what they know. Martin Luther King Jr. was such an inspiring individual that continues to teach us all different character traits. Our students honored him by reading books about him and creating art work!
Our 2nd Annual North Pole Stroll was a huge success this past weekend, thanks to our dedicated staff. Our playgrounds were transformed into a holiday adventure for our students and families to walk through, enjoy activities, and fellowship.
During the month of November, our students learned about generosity and giving without expecting anything in return. Our families were more than generous this month by donating 1281 items to CORA Food Pantry. We appreciate the support to our school and the community!
Here at Primrose, we are forever thankful and grateful for our families, staff, and community! Our students created their very own creative and unique turkey feather.

Spring Fling looked a little different this year with several different events. None the less our families gave it their all and raised a total of $3753.00 We were excited to present Communities In Schools of Chatham County with a check for $1876.50 and the other portion going to Primrose Schools Children's Foundation.
