Information Family of the Month - November 2015

Randy and Jennifer Burkland, along with their sons Talon (PK) and Hudson (PS) are our Family of the Month for November.

Randy writes, “We first enrolled at Primrose School of Champions in 2011 when Talon was an infant. Like most first-time parents, we visited and researched all the various schools in the area to ensure we made the right decision for our child. After careful consideration, we felt Primrose separated itself from the others. We knew Talon would be in great hands based on its structured learning program and the experience of the teachers.

Even though we enjoyed Primrose and knew Talon was in great care, we decided to leave when a new preschool opened up closer in our neighborhood. Our second child Hudson was born shortly after changing schools. With two kids in preschool, it was not long thereafter we realized that not all preschools are created equal. We left Primrose for our convenience, but at our boys’ expense.

Needless to say, we did not need to do any research this time around. Primrose continued to stand out with its ability to retain its excellent teachers. We knew exactly where we needed to be so we met with Karen on a Friday afternoon and she was able to do some shuffling to fit us in and two weeks later we were back.

After being gone for almost 2 years, there were only a few new faces for us to learn but Karen and all the staff made us feel as though we never left. The boys acclimated quickly to their new classes thanks to each of their teachers. They continue to surprise us with the things they learn and it is great to see the excitement in their eyes when they share their weekly folder activities with us.

Each of us has made great friends along the way. Some of the kids have even been a part of the boys’ soccer and baseball teams so it has been a joy seeing these classmates grow up together knowing the impact Primrose has had on all of us.
