Information Family of the Month - March 2019

Matt and Heather Bixby, along with their daughters Ava (PS) and Emmaline (YT), are our family of the month for March.

Heather writes: "We joined Primrose Champions two years ago when our daughter was almost two years old. After touring a few other daycares first, my mother-in-law suggested we check out Primrose. As soon as we left our tour of Primrose, we knew that's where we wanted our daughter to go and we cancelled all other daycare tours we had scheduled. There was an immediate feeling of comfort when we walked in, and everyone was so welcoming. They helped our daughter make a smooth transition into a daycare environment after spending her first two years with her grandparents during the day. She has continued to thrive ever since.

The curriculum is amazing from hands-on learning and projects (our oldest particularly enjoyed watching the metamorphosis of caterpillar to butterfly) to special visitors and activities such as stretch and grow, the fun bus, Captain Molar, etc. All of these things and the fun things they do around the holidays make Primrose extra special. Most importantly to us, our four old gets excited about going to school every day. It is difficult to leave your children all day, but everyone at Primrose makes it easier to do that. Since starting at Primrose, we have added another daughter to our family, and we know when we drop them off each day that they are loved and cared for. I have never come across a teacher, staff member, or owner who does not know my children by name (even if I don't know that staff member's name). Everyone at Primrose truly cares for each child, and that is one of the best things about this school.

On a personal note, as I am currently going through treatment for cancer, our family has received so much love and support from everyone at Primrose Champions. Our daughters' teachers check in with us regularly and let us know how our daughters are doing during this challenging time. We've had cards sent from the owners, and other staff members ask how things are going often. There are no words for how much that means to our family. You don't find such caring people everywhere, and we are so thankful to have found Primrose Champions!"
