Primrose School would love to meet your family.
Schedule A TourAshley and Ian Windsor, along with their children Beckett and Declan are our Family of the Month for December. Ashley writes, “My husband Ian and I met at Texas A&M and after countless football games, final exams, and campus meals, we tied the knot shortly after college. I am originally from DFW and Ian is from Alvin. We spent a few years traveling, buying a home, and playing with our fur-baby Miley before we had children. Beckett, our oldest, was born in December 2013 and our newest member of the family, Declan, was born this past October. We feel so incredibly blessed with our two boys and our doing our best to brainwash them to be Aggies. Our evenings and weekends are filled with endless energy, lots of outside time, plenty of climbing and running, and silence in our house makes us nervous. By day, Ian is a director of operations for a physician's group and I am an engineer for an oil and gas company and our free time is spent at church, trying to work out and stay fit, and doing photography; we kissed sleep goodbye about two years ago. We are so happy to be building a life in this amazing community and watch our kids grow amongst their peers.
We chose Primrose for several reasons after taking tours of a few places. Let me first say that we had a nanny for the first nine months with our oldest son Beckett, so switching him over to daycare was an overwhelming and slightly scary experience for us! I feared my child would be sitting in a classroom alone with little to zero attention but when we found Primrose, all my fears were alleviated. Primrose is so much more than just daycare. It's truly a fun learning experience and I am so incredibly happy with seeing how much our oldest son thrives here; he loves all the teachers he has in each new classroom. When touring, Primrose was the only place that was prepared for a tour and questions with no appointment or call-ahead scheduled. They had packets of information ready and answers loaded for each of our questions (and there were a lot!). As I walked through the halls with my husband, I only saw happy kids leaving to go home with their parents excitedly telling them about their day. Upon a second drop-in of the facility during the day, I didn't hear a single child crying and this was music to an anxious mom's ears! A few days before bringing my oldest for his first day, I visited the infant classroom and after breaking down about how nervous I was about my son transitioning well, they reassured me he'd do great and gave me such big hugs. I received a picture of my son his first day there and the smile on his face during their story time told me we had chosen the right place; he was happy. With our second child starting this month, I have no qualms or fears about leaving him as I know he is in amazing hands. I look forward to chatting with the teachers, staff, and other parents every day upon pickup! Primrose is a happy place!
P.S. - We are HUGE fans of Cookie Fridays!”
