Our teachers and caregivers are trained, ready and excited to help spark lightbulb moments for your child. We invite you to visit and see our Balanced Learning approach in action
Education has been a lifelong passion for both me, as a first-generation college graduate, and my husband John, who comes from a family of educators. In a dual-career household, we struggled to find a good match for our family that would address both our son’s educational and social-emotional development needs as well as our own need for convenience and the high-quality it takes to feel good about entrusting our child to someone else’s care. We live near Graduate Hospital (Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse), and we know that many of our friends and neighbors have faced the same challenges.
I’m originally from Georgia, which is the birthplace of Primrose more than 30 years ago, and I knew that Primrose is everything we want for our son and his friends—an inquiry-based learning environment, true character development, and support for our other passion, health and wellness. At Primrose, we call that Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts. We’ve waited for five long years to find the perfect place to bring the Primrose Experience, which is everything we’d been looking for, to families in Center City Philadelphia, and it’s finally arriving the summer of 2016.
We invite you to join us on this incredible journey as we open our school at 1635 Market Street, First Floor Plaza Entrance, Philadelphia, PA 19103. We are glad to meet with you personally, or feel free to join one of our parent information meetings in the coming months. At Primrose, your child will get more than an infant daycare experience. Our teachers help your child develop and grow, building one skill upon another, which is why we are the leader in infant child care.
We lost a beloved colleague and friend this week. We celebrate the love she shared with her babies and the laughs she made possible daily for her coworkers. We will miss you everyday.
Practicing kindness in and outside of the classroom will help children's character development. Learn more about nurturing compassion in this parent resource.
Join us for our annual Scholastic Book Fair January 30th to February 3rd. Online shopping is also available January 30th to February 12th. All profit from our book fair will be donated to The Primrose Children’s Foundation® which is a not-for-profit organization created to support organizations that focus on the needs of young children and their families.
Each February, students at Primrose schools across the country collect their favorite books to donate to local libraries, hospitals, schools and nonprofit organizations.
To better meet the individual needs of every child, we’re proud to implement Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ®-3 and ASQ®:SE-2) in Primrose schools across the country.
Each Primrose school is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
We are looking for passionate, dedicated teachers to help us provide a nurturing, quality early learning experience for children and their families.
There’s no question that parents want their preschoolers to grasp the basics of colors, numbers and letters to foster a lifetime of learning.
It might seem odd to think about your preschooler exploring data analysis and algebra.
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
