    Ms. Sarahanne Rice

    Director

Sarah Rice is the Director at Primrose School at Cahoon Commons starting in the summer of 2022. She's a graduate of Ashford University where she earned her A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently a student at Western Governors University where she’s studying Elementry Education. Mrs. Rice was born and raised in Washington state, her passion for Early Childhood Education began over 18 years ago when she became an assistant teacher for a toddler classroom. To further her experience with children and families Mrs. Rice provided in-home care for children with special needs. In 2012 Mrs. Rice opened a Child Development home. During her time as an in-home provider she focused on providing families with quality care, her passion for children and desire for excellence led her through National Accreditation and working with Washington’s Quality Rating Improvement System. As her children aged out of Early childhood, she excepted a role as a Quality Rating Improvement System coach. As a coach in Washington, she supported other family child care providers, with achieving their educational goals, the accreditation process, health and safety, interactions, and environment. In 2017 Mrs. Rice’s family relocated to Nevada before leaving she received the Child Care Aware Coaching award for her region. She continued coaching for the Quality Rating Improvement System in Nevada. In Nevada, she gained experience supporting Directors and teachers in center-based and school district programs and providing state-approved training for Early Childhood Education professionals. Mrs. Rice’s time in Nevada came to an end during the Summer of 2021, her family relocated to Virginia. Since arriving in Virginia Mrs. Rice has worked as an Independent contractor doing CLASS ( Classroom Assessment Scoring Systems) Observations and providing rating visits for Virginia Quality’s Quality Rating Improvement System. She is thrilled to become part of the Primrose staff and looks forward to working with families and the Primrose teaching team.
