I am the Director at Primrose School of Bristow. I bring over 18 years of early childhood experience to our Primrose School. I spent 13 years as a director of two different schools in the area. I began in the industry as a preschool teacher at the age of 18 and quickly decided that my love for children and their education was where I wanted to be. I have a Master's in Business Administration, Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. I enjoy working for Primrose School. I am very proud of our school and the enriched curriculum we offer.
I am from Trinidad-Beni-Bolivia. I have been living in VA since 1999. I have an 8 year old daughter. I have been teaching since 2008 and currently attend NOVA, working towards completing my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development. I enjoy teaching, the personal satisfaction seeing the children grow and knowing that I was a part of their environment makes it a real joy. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor entertainment, movies, and traveling to new places and countries.
I am from El Salvador and am a mother of 14 and 13 year old boys. I have 4 years experience working in a preschool environment as an infant teacher assistant, older infant lead teacher and other classes as well. For me, the best thing about working with children is helping them reach their developmental milestones and getting lots of hugs through out the day!
Meet Tom and Vikki Cheng - proud Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Bristow. Longtime residents of the greater Washington D.C. metro area, the Chengs will relocate to Bristow, Va., to open their first Primrose school. They are thrilled to bring the Primrose experience, offering premier early education and care, to families in the Bristow community. Tom and Vikki have three daughters Abigail, Rebecca and Audrey. Back in their hometown of Gaithersburg, Md., the Chengs enrolled their two older daughters, Abigail and Rebecca, in an early education program but were uncertain their children were receiving the high-quality early education and care they deserved. In 2010, after researching more options for premier preschool providers, Tom and Vikki discovered Primrose Schools. After visiting and touring a school, they immediately fell in love with the Balanced Learning¬ curriculum and knew it was the type of school they wished for their daughters to attend. The Chengs both come from entrepreneurial families and always knew they wanted to own their own business someday. After learning about the Primrose experience and the impact it has on a child's development, they knew Primrose was the right fit for their family. Once open, their youngest daughter, Audrey, will attend Primrose School of Bristow, and Abigail and Rebecca will participate in the Primrose Explorers after-school program for children up to age 12. Prior to becoming Franchise Owners, Tom worked as an information technology manager in Federal contracting. Vikki currently works as a director at a technology company in the financial services industry. They met while studying at the University of Maryland where they both earned their bachelor's degrees in information technology and finance. Vikki continued her education and also earned a master's degree in business administration. We understand the complexities of selecting an early child care provider, said Tom. There is nothing more important to us than ensuring our children are loved and cared for, while knowing they are receiving the best early education. We found that with Primrose, and we look forward to introducing Primrose School of Bristow to local families. The Cheng's goal is to provide an atmosphere where children can grow their Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy HeartsŒ¬. At the school, Tom will handle the day-to-day operations, working closely with parents, children and staff. Vikki will also play a role in the school's operations while continuing her career in information technology. Slated to open in early 2015, Primrose School of Bristow will feature the exclusive Balanced Learning¬ curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 6-years-old. Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, the research-based curriculum blends teacher-guided and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development. Primrose School of Bristow is located at 9101 Balaton Lake Lane. For more information, visit www.primrosebristow.com.
