Jessica and Michael Orsak, along with their sons, Rhett and Colt, are our Family of the Month for August. Jessica writes, “Our two boys, Rhett and Colt, had never been in childcare prior to the Primrose School of Bridgeland. We first started looking for childcare in 2017 when I was pregnant with Rhett. We toured a few places but did not find anything we absolutely loved. We decided to have a family member watch Rhett, but we knew we would eventually want him in a school. We started to look again in 2018 when I was pregnant with Colt. Rhett was almost a year old, and we thought it was time for him to be around other kids. We also knew we would be moving to Bridgeland, so we limited our search to around that area. I called a few places to get information, but I did not get very good impressions from the places I was calling. I saw that Primrose would be opening a location in Bridgeland, so I called for information and ended up talking to Karen on the phone for more than an hour. She was so kind and caring and really took the time to get to know my family, so we scheduled a tour at the Barker Cypress location. Karen made me feel so welcome, and I hadn’t even met her yet. Barbara did our tour, and we fell in love with the school and curriculum as soon as we saw it. Out of all the schools we toured, Primrose was by far our favorite. I remember sitting in the car after the tour and thinking, this is it. It was even more perfect that the new school would be just a few minutes from the house we were building. There was something about the Primrose staff that made me feel comfortable to leave my children with them, which is not easy to find as a new parent.
Rhett and Colt both started on the first day the Bridgeland school opened. We have been very happy with our experience so far. We are excited that Colt will be one of the first kids to start as an infant and go to every classroom. At the Grand Opening, everyone seemed to know who Rhett was, even if he was not a student in their class. When Colt had to have surgery and miss a few days of school, all his teachers asked about him and made him a get-well card. Even the teachers in Rhett’s class would ask how he was doing. We truly feel that all the staff care about our children as if they are their own. Rhett looks forward to going to school every day, and we have noticed a huge difference in his vocabulary and overall behavior since starting school. We are happy that the teachers also do activities with Colt even though he is so young. We look forward to the artwork they do and the daily photos we get. Primrose had the highest tuition of all the schools we looked at, but we decided that we could not put a price on our children’s education or on finding people that we fully trust to leave our children with. After just a week of school, I was telling my family and friends that enrolling them at the Primrose School of Bridgeland was the best thing we have done for them. Thank you for choosing us to be the Family of the Month!"
