Apple of our Eye - January 2021

Morgan Clayton, teacher at Primrose School of Bridgeland located in Cypress, TX 77433

The Apple of Our Eye for the month of January is Ms. Morgan Clayton. Morgan is from Ellensburg, Washington but has been a resident of Texas since 2016 when she drove cross country all alone to get here! Since her move, she has worked hard to earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Lone Star College. She is not married but has been dating her boyfriend, Nate, for 5 years.

Morgan has been employed at Primrose for a little over a year and is currently the Lead Teacher in the Toddler 1 classroom. Prior to joining our staff, she gained invaluable childcare experience working as a live-in nanny for 7 years for children between the ages of 8 months and 15 years. Morgan says she loves working with kids and being able to develop strong bonds with them. She sees Primrose as the perfect opportunity to do this and finds it so gratifying to watch her students flourish.

In her leisure time Morgan enjoys walking her dog Daisy, reading, shopping at Target, painting, and creating different makeup looks. She is a true Renaissance woman with many talents and areas of knowledge.

  • She loves to cook (although she won’t touch raw meat!)
  • Her ultimate career goal is to become a nurse (even though she was afraid of needles until she was 21 years old!)
  • She knows how to play the clarinet and tenor saxophone.
  • She especially enjoys learning and trying new things – embroidery, growing plants, playing the banjo, and creating resin jewelry, to name just a few!

    • Morgan is sweet, calm at all times, and works to establish meaningful relationships with all of her students. She is thorough, follows the curriculum diligently, and keeps excellent records. Her class is filled with smiling toddlers who obviously adore her. It is such a pleasure to work with Morgan, and we are so happy to have her here at Primrose!
