The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, and families. We are excited to participate this year at Primrose School of Brentwood.
Please help us congratulate Ms. Jaclyn as the Apple of Our Eye this month! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.
My daughter was a slow-to-warm-up baby and a well-behaved toddler. She never hit or pushed, but instead used her words — like the time she famously told me at age three, “Mommy, I don’t like the choices you’re choicing me.”
More than 400 of you voted to determine the grand-prize winner of the inaugural Wow Moments Awards. We were excited to announce at the Strategic Meeting that – with more than half of your votes – the winner is five Nashville-area schools for their Primrose Promise℠ Day of Giving event! For the event, more than 150 students, staff and volunteers gathered at a local Head Start, where they painted murals, planted community gardens and donated supplies and books for the library. Congratulations to the Franchise Owners, Teachers and Staff of Primrose School of Brentwood, Primrose School of Hendersonville, Primrose School of Murfreesboro, Primrose School of Nashville Midtown and Primrose School of Spring Hill. We received the grand prize of $2,000 to donate to a local charity of their choice.
“When it comes to early learning, Primrose shares the same goal as parents – we aim to maximize a child’s learning during a very important time in his life. We believe, and our outcomes show, that the most effective way to help each child reach her full potential is to ensure she is exposed to information in different ways using a balance of proven learning theories.”
Play is a crucial part of the social, emotional and imaginative development of young children, but not all play is created equal!

The goal of our music curriculum, Rhythm & Notes with Music from The Music Class, is to not only provide a fun and educational music curriculum, but also to enable parents and teachers to engage musically with their children throughout the week. Your child’s music will be available to you on the “PrimMusic” app. With it you’ll have immediate access to the curriculum—along with a wonderful opportunity to make music with your child at home, in the car, or wherever you like!
