Lately, everyone seems to be talking about STEAM. This acronym—which stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics—has become a hot topic in the world of education and in the business community. The practice of teaching by incorporating these concepts into multidisciplinary lessons is revolutionizing education approaches across the country, even for children in preschool. While young children may not be able to understand multiplication or how computers work, they can develop a strong foundation for future learning by exploring STEAM skills and concepts through play and discussion, and then applying those skills through more play.
Hello, my name is Katie Matson! I come from a large family and love being with children. My older sister also works for Primrose Schools. I recently obtained my CDA and it felt great! I have a wonderful son named Knox, who attends Primrose and is thriving here! I love working with children and teaching them new things. Primrose is a wonderful school that allows me to teach and I really enjoy being with the children every day!
It's a fact: children learn better when they are engaged. That's why purposeful play and nurturing guidance from teachers are key components of Balanced Learning. See how this time-tested approach with a strong emphasis on life skills and character development can help your child develop and excel.
The Ferguson Family are from Michigan. They met in Downtown Detroit a little over 8 years ago. Tracy is an auditor and Jeff is a surgical sales representative. They have a seven year old Boxer named Rocky. They initially chose Primrose because of Primrose's Reputation. They had heard from several other families that Primrose was a great school. Once they enrolled their son, Jeffrey, they saw it firsthand, according to Mrs. Ferguson. He is learning and growing beyond their expectations, according to Mr. Ferguson. As an infant, Jeffrey was able to communicate with his parents using sign language before he was able to form the words; he took his 1st steps at Primrose and now he speaks in complete sentences and continues to amaze them with how much he learns daily. Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson stated that "the staff (teachers and administration) are like family to us and our son is always sharing hugs with everyone he comes into contact with. Primrose is such a nurturing environment that is continuing to shape the type of child we want to raise. We are very pleased with our decision to entrust our son to Primrose!" Congratulations Ferguson family!!!
Our school has openings for infants through Private Pre-Kindergarten.
