Monique and Mark Espino, along with their sons, Gavin and Gabriel, are our August Family of the Month. Monique writes, “Almost 5 years ago when Gavin turned 2, we began looking for a school for him. I toured several but knew he was going to attend Primrose. I have friends whose kids attended this location many years ago, and over all those years, all I ever heard were great things! Everyone is welcoming and compassionate. I couldn’t ask for anything more. When it was Gabriel’s turn to start school, we already knew we were at the best school.
Gavin never had a transitioning period from home to school. We attended Meet the Teacher on a Friday, and on Monday, he walked right into his class. He was all smiles and never looked back. Gabriel, on the other hand, was a crier. The staff worked with him, as well as with me, on our drop off routine. The teachers knew our situation, and one would always meet us at the door to welcome crying Gabriel. The staff was incredible with him. It took a little while, but now he walks into school with confidence and a smile!
For working parents, it’s important for our kids to be in great hands while we are away. I know while they are at school they are learning and being loved as they would be at home. Primrose’s curriculum is exceptional, and their teachers are extraordinary! Gavin loves to learn because of his teachers’ passion. He has a late birthday, so he attended Primrose’s Private Kindergarten. When it was time for public kindergarten, he was more than ready. Gabriel wants to be like his brother, and it couldn’t make me more proud. As he advances in classes, he has requested Gavin’s old teachers. On our car rides, Gabriel is always singing a new song. I ask, “Where did you learn that?”, and his reply is, “In Preschool 3!” In addition to learning, watching Gabriel create friendships and develop social skills has been gratifying. He constantly talks about his friends in his class, and everyone is his best friend. Also, as the years have progressed and Gavin has moved on to primary school, he has still maintained several of his original Primrose friendships.
Primrose is more than a daycare, it’s a school. We love the Primrose staff and are extremely satisfied with our experience here over the past 5 years! We couldn’t imagine our boys taking this preschool journey any place else.”
