Prawal and Akhila Goyal, along with their children, Aarav and Pankhuri, are our Family of the Month for April. The Goyals write, “It has been truly said – ‘It’s not about the destination. It’s about the journey to get there.’ These words are truly applicable to our kiddos, Aarav and Pankhuri. When Aarav, our son, was 3 ½ years old, we were going through a myriad of emotions wondering how we could let our son step out for the entire day away from us and his grandparents, so we began our exhaustive search for the best preschool care in the Cypress area. The notion led us to search online, talk to friends, and visit different preschools to find the safest place to enroll our son. We were so fortunate to find Primrose School. We still remember the day we came and talked to the staff - the Director, the Assistant Director, the Curriculum Director, the Administrative Assistants and the teachers. Everybody was so welcoming and provided us with that cushion, that comfort, that confidence that we decided to enroll Aarav there. The multitude of activities that he could be a part of and all that he could learn also helped us to make our decision. Since then, it has been a tremendous journey for Aarav. After being at Primrose for more than 2 ½ years, he is now in the third grade at Hamilton Elementary.
Though it has been a fantastic journey for our son, our little daughter, Pankhuri, was not far behind. When she turned three, we went through similar emotions. This time, however, we did not have to do the exhaustive search to find the best preschool in this area. We already knew. We came straight to Primrose, and as they say, history repeats itself. We were welcomed with an open heart by the Primrose staff, and we enrolled our daughter. She is in Preschool, and it is just amazing to see her learn new things every day. Hearing her recite new rhymes and talking about her teachers and her friends just makes us laugh. At present, her favorite song is ‘Sunday, Monday…Tuesday, Wednesday…Thursday, Friday…Saturday’. Even we have memorized the tone and beat of the song by now. Recently when Aarav went with us to pick up his baby sis from school, the staff and his teachers still remembered his name, even though it had been more than three years since he left Primrose.
As parents, it feels great and secure when we send our kids to Primrose and attend all the fun activities, be it Spring Fling, holiday parties or pictures with Santa! We love being a part of the Primrose family and are thoroughly enjoying our kids’ journey with the school.”
