I love the environment Primrose has given me to work in. The workers are always cheery and warm and they give the place a sense of home. My bosses are the best. I have felt as though I have found my place where I enjoy my job, I enjoy waking up at 4:45 am ready to start my day with a smile. My co- workers rock!
Primrose Lake Houston is a blessing in the lives of both me and my daughter. We moved here from a foreign country (a return home for me, a new start for her) when my daughter was 2. I started looking for a school for her to attend, and Primrose Lake Houston was the first - and only - school we visited. From the moment I called and spoke to Mrs. Ashmore, to the time we walked through the front door and Evie went straight to Mrs. Crawford and started playing with the children who would become her classmates and friends, I knew there was no point looking elsewhere. Primrose Lake Houston has amazing teachers and wonderful staff, who truly care for your child. When you enroll your child at Primrose Lake Houston, you become a member of a family. Mrs. Morgan and Mr. Charlie are so thoughtful (really, how many grown men dress up for kids these days?). It's so fun to drive by on weekends and see the Morgans at work at the school - Evie loves to wave as we drive by and see them doing things like setting out haystacks and fall decorations! The teachers have always pushed Evie just that little bit extra, because she can and they know it. The curriculum is awesome: When I talked to my sister-in-law, and we compared what our daughters (six months apart) were learning, the difference between what Evie learns at Primrose and what her cousin learns is astounding. How many 2, 3, or 4 year olds can write their own names, spell their classmates names, count to 20 in Spanish, use a computer, sing multiple songs, add and subtract? When Evie was in EPS, they even got her potty-trained! THAT was truly a blessing! All of the teachers Evie has had - Mrs. Crawford, Ms. Taylor, Ms. Wheeler, Ms. Koen, Ms. Sefton, Mrs. Delgado, Mrs. Small and everyone else - have been so kind to us. The staff truly do want the best for your child, and not just because they "should", but because they do. We love to come in and see Mrs. Hardy and Mrs. Keel, Mrs. Ashmore and Mrs. Wisser. And stopping by the office on the way out to hug on Mrs. Morgan? It's a must-do for Evie. I don't know any other school that cares this much for their students. I'm so glad we found Primrose Lake Houston, and I cannot imagine how we would have gotten through the last 2 years without the brilliant, incredible, amazing place that is Primrose Lake Houston.
We are thrilled with our Primrose experience! My husband and I were active duty Coast Guard when we were transferred from Alaska to Texas 2 years ago. Our daughter, Mya, was 1 at the time and we had no friends or family in the area - so finding good childcare was our priority. And boy did we hit the jackpot with Primrose of Lake Houston!! The owners and staff are so kind yet professional and always have the best interest of the children at heart. The curriculum is impressive and delivers amazing results. Mya could recite the Pledge of Allegiance at 2.5yrs thanks to her EPS teachers, Ms. Taylor, Moyer and Culp. I recently took a temporary separation from the Coast Guard but continue to send Mya to Primrose part-time because she loves it so much! Her teachers and friends have become like family to us....we are truly grateful for our experiences.
I could probably write pages, for hours about the Lake Houston Primrose, as we have been a Primrose family now for over six years. My daughter is getting ready to graduate from the Pre-Kindergarten Program tomorrow evening, and my son graduated two years ago, is preparing to enter into second grade, is in the SPICE program for gifted and talented children, and all of this started for both of them, at about five months old, when by the grace of the good Lord, we found Primrose, and I knew that was where my oldest at the time, was supposed to be. The care, love, and education that my children receive each and every day is second to none. I could not leave them every single day to support and care for them the way I do without our second family at Primrose. Each year, it keeps getting better. My daughter loves learning, her teachers see her strengths, and encourage her (she loves art, so they use that love to build on her academics, and she is thriving!); my son is in the Explorer's Program in the morning and afternoon, and asks to please stay every evening because he is so happy there. The teachers are always keeping me up to date on my little ones, both the things they are doing well, and areas we need to work on, and the administration, I cannot say enough. They truly are our second family. We love them, from the bottom of our hearts. They teach my children, take care of them, care for them, they provide structure and discipline, and at the same time, are constantly implementing new strategies in the classroom, new learning experiences that will stay with them forever, and always providing nothing but the best, all of the way from the nutrition in their meals, the classroom learning taking place, the creativity they allow them during arts and crafts and center time, to the individual attention given to each child. I would tell any parent, and never hesitate, 'If you have to work, and can't stay at home, there is only one place you want to place your children, only one place you want to trust their well-being, education, and overall person with, and that is Primrose.' I would even encourage moms who do stay at home to enroll their little ones, even if only part time. It is an experience that is leading my munchkins to success inside and outside of the classroom, and I can attribute so much of that to Primrose, Mrs. Morgan and her husband, Lori Ashmore, and the entire staff, because for ten hours a day, my little ones are in their care (my oldest previously, now a few hours each morning and afternoon), they have cared for and helped me raise my precious children. We have been beyond blessed by Primrose - they will always have a special place in our hearts, in our lives, and I will forever be grateful for what they have done for my children and family. There is no way I could ever express my gratitude and love for this school and the staff, but wanted to share this with you because someday they will graduate from college; someday they will start their first job; someday, they will have children, and Primrose, as far as I am concerned will have played one of the biggest parts in all of this, and hopefully it will continue into the next generation. If you can't tell, we could not be any happier if we tried...and if you don't believe me, just ask my kiddos. The smiles on their faces say it all - We love Primrose!!!
My 5 year old and now my 6 month old both attend Primrose of Lake Houston. I cannot say enough great things about this school. My 5 year old has been attending for 2.5 years now, and she has done nothing by excel. She loves going to school, loves her teachers and most of all she loves to learn! I was devastated when I learned that my in-home sitter would be moving out of state the beginning of this year. She cared for and raised my older daughter until she started preschool at Primrose, and I was banking on her doing the same for my newborn. Once I met the lead teacher and toured the infant room, I knew it would be a good fit for us. I have been very pleased and really trust that my daughter is getting the best care. It was hard at first, but I am now completely at ease. Both of my girls are thriving on the nurturing and learning environment that Primrose provides and I couldn't be happier! I also have nothing but great things to say about the owner, Mrs. Morgan. She runs her school well and seems to truly care for every child that walks thru that door.
