Primrose Schools Partners with National Conference and Local Nonprofit to Benefit 1,000 Atlanta Children

Approximately 1,000 Atlanta children in need will receive snack and hygiene kits as a result of a conference sponsorship that transformed into a service project with the help of several organizations. The opportunity stems from Primrose Schools sponsoring the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) Annual Conference and Expo, which is taking place Nov. 15-18 at the Georgia World Conference Center.

Primrose opted to make its sponsorship of the conference more meaningful by inviting attendees to pack the kits at the company’s booth to benefit children in an underserved neighborhood less than a mile from the conference location. The effort includes the help and support of NAEYC and the Westside Future Fund’s Westside Volunteer Corps – an initiative in collaboration with United Way of Greater Atlanta to attract and mobilize volunteers inspired to be part of the revitalization of Atlanta’s historic Westside.

The Westside Volunteer Corps will distribute the snack and hygiene kits to children through area schools and organizations the week after Thanksgiving.
