Primrose Schools® Announces $500,000 Donation to Advance Access to Early Education in Underserved Communities at 2022 National Conference

Primrose Schools celebrates 40th anniversary by recognizing record-breaking performance and continued support of an innovative early learning center at its annual conference

ATLANTA (Nov. 9, 2022) – Primrose Schools recognized outstanding Franchise Owner performance and success at its annual 2022 National Conference, recently held in Phoenix, Arizona. The company also celebrated its 40th anniversary and continued growth by providing educational and health equity for children in underserved communities.

Primrose schools across the country engaged in a national fundraiser benefiting the students of the West Lakes Early Learning Center, where teachers use the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to empower their young students. Over 90 percent of these students would not be able to attend the school without subsidized tuition. Collectively, Primrose schools, Support Center staff and partners raised more than $500,000, which will provide scholarship tuition and critical supplies including educational materials, formula, food and books.

“At Primrose Schools, our mission is to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children. Primrose Franchise Owners and their staff embody this mission and fulfill our belief that who children become is as important as what they know,” said Jo Kirchner, CEO of Primrose Schools.

Primrose also announced Franchise Owner awards, which were created to acknowledge Franchise Owners and their schools who achieve success across all brand values, including delivering exceptional service and a high-quality offering, serving the community, and achieving strong performance and growth. Some awards categories and recipients include:

The Jo Kirchner Giving Back Award: Dr. Noel Rigley and the late Dr. Pratiksha Rigley

Primrose introduced the inaugural Jo Kirchner Giving Back Award, which represents the legacy that CEO Jo Kirchner has built: to give without expectation and to make a difference in the communities surrounding Primrose schools. The award celebrates Franchise Owners whose schools have given back to the community, including raising funds for the Primrose Schools Children’s Foundation®.

Throughout their tenure as Primrose Franchise Owners, Noel and Pratiksha have been intentional about building trusted relationships with leaders of nonprofit organizations in their community and engaging the families and staff in their schools to fundraise for these organizations.
