Science Fun: Tornado in a Bottle

This easy, at-home science project helps children understand the circular motion of tornadoes. It’s the perfect way to explore weather with your little one!

Supplies:

  • Clear plastic bottle
  • Dish soap
  • Water

Instructions:

  • Fill a plastic bottle half full with water.
  • Squeeze in some dish soap. 
  • Spin the bottle in a circular motion for a few seconds. 
  • Watch your tornado!
