Looking for an easy, at-home science experiment? Watch how salt makes ice melt quickly with this fun, colorful project!

Supplies:

  • Water frozen in cups or bowls
  • Plate
  • Salt
  • Food coloring

Instructions:

  1. Place blocks of ice on a plate.
  2. Generously sprinkle salt on top of the ice.
  3. Add food coloring.
  4. Watch what happens!
