How to Make Tic-Tac-Toe Snacks

Turn snack time into playtime with this fun and healthy snack idea – one of our favorite kid-friendly recipes! Your child will love this Valentine’s Day-inspired (and edible!) take on the classic tic-tac-toe game.


  • Large pretzel rods
  • Sliced ham
  • Sliced cheese


  • Knife or cookie cutter


  • Using a knife or cookie cutter, cut the ham and cheese slices into heart shapes.

  • Arrange pretzels on a plate to form a tic-tac-toe board.

  • Take turns placing the hearts inside the board. See who can make three in a row first!

Note: Because pretzels can pose a choking hazard for young children, this activity is not suitable for children under the age of 3.
