Ms. Alex
Ms. Alex
Early Preschool Assistant Teacher
My name is Alex, and you can find me in EPS classroom in the afternoons. I am the oldest of the three girls in our family, and I love my little sisters very much. I lived in San Jose, California until about 3 years ago, when my family moved here to Flower Mound, TX. I went to Marcus High School and was in the marching band playing alto saxophone. Throughout high school I worked at a church nursery. I’ve known I wanted to be a ELD Kindergarten teacher for a long time and this position at Primrose is giving me some experience in what to expect. I love working with children and learning new ways to teach them and help them grow!

Mr. Derek Haney
Mr. Derek Haney
Kindergarten Assistant Teacher

My name is Mr. Derek.  I stand at 5’ 11’’, 200 pounds, and 22 years of age.  I have dark brown hair and brown eyes.  I enjoy sunny days, being outside playing games and sports.  Vanilla is the scent I enjoy the most.  I love to eat Mexican food, cookies, and snow cones.  If I had to live with one thing to drink for the rest of my life it would be Kool-Aid… so many delicious flavors.  My favorite color is pink…it is the new red.  The sloth being the slowest moving land animal is my favorite.  If I had to pick three words to describe myself they would be beautiful, dominant, and awesome.  I have had many accomplishments in my life; a few of them including master of disguise, 3 year mac n cheese eating champion of greater Denton County, Mickey Mouse club president, and I have been made a honorary Power Ranger.  I am also a man of many skills.  I am very skilled at end zone dances, basket weaving, and Mario Kart.
Now that we have all the basics of my life out the way, we can get to the interesting stuff.    I have been at Primrose for one year and have spent that wonderful time in the Explorers I class.  In addition to working at Primrose, I am a full time student at UNT.  I am working tediously to get my EC-6th grade teaching degree and hope to start student teaching the spring of 2010.  Then I hope one day to teach right here in my home town of Flower Mound.  Other than Primrose and school, I volunteer with the middle school ministries at my church and play a lot of football.  I am a huge (HUGE!) fan of the Texas Longhorns, the soon to be national champions.  I also am a fan of all the local professional sports teams, but mostly the Cowboys.  I hope you have enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about me, and hopefully the front office doesn’t delete any of this important information.
Stay Classy,
Mr. Derek

Mrs. Grace Watson
Mrs. Grace Watson
Pre-Kindergarten 1 Lead Teacher
My name is Grace Watson, and I have been working at Primrose since
August 2009.  I graduated from the University of North Texas in
December of 2008 with a degree in elementary education. A week after
graduation, I married my wonderful husband, Trevor! We currently live
in Argyle where we are actively involved in a ministry called Young
Life.  Young Life is a non-profit organization that reaches out to
high school kids in order to share the Gospel with them.  When are not
doing Young Life activities, we enjoy having our friends over and
making trips to see our families across Texas!
I have been working with children since I was in Junior High from
working Vacation Bible School at my local church to babysitting, and
even being a part of an internship in high school that allowed me to
work in different elementary classrooms.  I have enjoyed working in
the 4K1 classroom with all the great 4 year olds! We are having fun
learning how to write our names, numbers, and letters.  I hope to see
all of my students write their names by themselves by December! Thank
you for letting me be a part of your child's life!
