Mrs. Tonya Williams

We are thrilled to celebrate our Floater, Tonya Williams as the “Apple of Our Eye” for the month of August. Tonya is originally from Hickory, North Carolina and still resides there with her husband and 6 children.
Tonya attended Mitchell Community College where she obtained her North Carolina Credentials. As a full-time job, Tonya works for Mooresville Graded School District as a Teachers Assistant in the Kindergarten classroom. She has worked there since 1999.
In Tonya’s spare time, she enjoys watching scary movies and eating junk food. She also enjoys playing basketball and spending time with her husband and children.
Tonya has been such a tremendous addition to our entire Primrose Team and we are proud to stand beside her in all that she does. Congratulations Tonya on this well

My name is Hannah Ryan. I am originally from Ithaca, New York. I attended The State University of New York at Cortland where I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Childhood Education. I chose Primrose because the school provided me the opportunity to pursue my personal and professional goals in the field. In my spare time, I enjoy vacationing and spending time with my husband and 3 dogs.

Miss Cobie Calhoun
Assistant Director
My name is Cobie Calhoun. I am originally from Blairsville, Pennsylvania. I am a graduate of Penn State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I started teaching in 2009. I joined Primrose School of Lake Norman because I have a passion for children! In my free time, I enjoy any outdoor activities, cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers as well as spending time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to working as the Assistant Director and the rest of the Primrose staff.

My name is Debbie Kaye. I am originally from Moncton New Brunswick, Canada. I have previous experience in the business field when I was an Investigations Officer at RBC Bank in Canada. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, gardening, and most importantly spending time with my grandchildren. I chose Primrose School of Lake Norman to be closer to my grandchildren and be able to continue working in the business field.

My name is Brittany Cullen. I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2008 and am excited about continuing my education at the collegiate level soon. I chose Primrose because of its reputation as a quality Preschool. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing with my dogs.

My name is Jade Kernes. I am originally from Lebanon, NH. I am a graduate of Mooresville High School. I received my North Carolina Teaching Credentials through Mitchell Community College. I have been teaching since 2002. I enjoy spending time with my children and family and shopping. I joined Primrose School of Lake Norman because it is a wonderful preschool. I am looking forward to working with the Young Toddler class as their Lead Teacher.

My name is Jaclyn Pasciolla. I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am currently enrolled at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College where I am working on my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I plan to work toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education shortly there after. I joined the Primrose faculty because I was impressed by the curriculum and the way it enriches young children. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping.

My name is Kathy Cleveland. I am originally from Clawson, Michigan. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology. I have my NC Early Childhood Credentials through Mitchell Community College and am 5 classes away from my Associate’s in Early Childhood Education. I have been working in the field since 2004. I joined the Primrose team because I love children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading science fiction fantasy novels and going to the movies and eating popcorn.

My name is Angela Chaaban. I am originally from West Virginia. I have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mitchell Community College and have been teaching since 2000. Previously, I worked as a first grade Assistant Teacher at Woodland Heights Elementary School. I joined the Primrose team because I love children and Primrose is a wonderful place to enhance my career. In my spare time, I enjoy being on the lake, swimming, reading, and shopping.

Miss Kristin Watkins
Early Preschool II - Lead Teacher
My name is Kristin Watkins and I am originally from Middlebury, Vermont. I graduated from Middlebury Union High School. I have been studying Elementary Education at Tusculum College in Tennessee and recently transferred to UNCC to finish my degree. I have been teaching since 2007 and joined the Primrose School of Lake Norman faculty because of my love of children. I love helping them explore and learn about the world around them. Primrose Schools share my beliefs in the education of young children. In my free time, I enjoy painting pottery at Bella Pottery. I look forward to working with children of all ages here at Primrose School of Lake Norman.

My name is Natalie Sherrill. I am originally from Mooresville, North Carolina. I am a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College. I have been teaching since February 2006. I enjoy being with my family. I joined Primrose School of Lake Norman because I love to see children being encouraged to learn. I am the Lead Teacher in the Preschool 1 classroom.

My name is Paula Bush. I am originally from Ithaca, New York. I am a graduate of Tompkins Cortland College. Teaching is a new career for me. I previously worked as a production manager for a distributing company. I joined Primrose School of Lake Norman because I enjoy watching children grow and learn. Since starting my teaching career at Primrose in 2007 I have enjoyed taking courses in the Early Childhood Education field every semester at Mitchell & Stanly Community Colleges. I am looking forward to working with the entire Primrose School of Lake Norman staff.

My name is Liz McNelly. I am a graduate of Wingate University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. After I completed my Undergraduate Degree I started teaching. I have been with Primrose since August of 2007 and am currently attending UNC Charlotte where I am completing my Master’s Degree. In December 2009, I obtained my Birth-Kindergarten teacher licensure. I chose Primrose because of the philosophy of the school. In my spare time, I enjoy photography and reading.

My name is Brittany Warren. I am originally from Polk County, NC. I am a graduate of Montreat College where I earned by Bachelor’s Degree in English. I am looking forward to continuing my education at the graduate level. I will be attending UNCC to obtain my Master of Arts in teaching. I started teaching in December of 2007. I joined Primrose School of Lake Norman because of my love of teaching. I feel that Primrose is a professional environment in which I can grow and develop my craft. In my free time I enjoy writing, boating, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to working with the Pre-K 2 classroom as their Lead Teacher.

My name is Jenny Brewton. I am originally from Madison, Ohio. I am a licensed teacher and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Before I started here at Primrose, I was a first grade teacher at Paw Creek Elementary. I chose Primrose School of Lake Norman because I heard such wonderful things about the programs offered. I also want to continue teaching tomorrow’s leaders in private school setting! In my spare time, I enjoy going out on the lake, spending time with my friends, and cooking dinner with my husband.

I am the Chef/Nutrition Specialist for the entire school.
