Claudia Macon and Tonya Gill
are the proud owners of The Primrose School at Cahoon Commons. Inspiring your child to a future filled with academic achievements is your goal and ours. We will deliver the best and most trusted early education and childcare for families in our service area. We believe that a successful school requires close relationships with parents and excellent ongoing communication. We are partners in supporting your child and are committed to providing your child an enriching early education curriculum and character development program that prepares them for their future success. Claudia and her husband have three lovely daughters; Bianca,Noel, and Sydney and live in Chesapeake, Va. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Finance, and an M.B.A. degree. Claudia has spent the past 15 years working in Higher Education at Tidewater Community College, the second largest community college in Virginia. Claudia will handle the schools business administration and educational curriculum. Tonya and her husband have two grown children and two grandchildren. Brittani is currently a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Their son Jared and his wife live in Chesapeake with two daughters Amira and Madison. After 19 years of dedicated service Tonya left a long term position with the United Way of South Hampton Roads as Senior Director of Resource Development to be the onsite owner who handles the marketing, recruitment and daily operations. During her career at United Way she spent many years serving the Chesapeake Community as the Development Director for the Chesapeake Office. She is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College with a B.A.in Business. She is excited to return to the Chesapeake community. We are centrally located in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake off of Cedar Road and we hope you will visit us soon for your childcare needs. We are both very excited and honored to open the first Primrose School in Southampton Roads!
