Family of the Month
February Family of The Month (2/1/2010)
♥ We love that our family has been chosen as the Primrose family of the month for February! ♥
Although our heart and roots are in the Pacific Northwest, we moved to Hampton Roads almost 8 years ago. We have three pets (a dog and 2 cats) and our daughter who is our first and only child (although she’s certainly a handful!)
Her dad is in the Navy, and left in January for the west coast, where he will be for most of this year. Since this is the first time Daddy has deployed since she was born, we’re very busy settling into our new routines, taking lots of video, and counting the days until our trip to California in April!
We feel really fortunate to have such a wonderful and caring teacher as Ms. Hendricks to help us through this new adventure. We know that she loves our little one almost as much as we do, and she’s a great partner as we try to help her cope with her dad’s departure.
My daughter started attending Primrose in September 2009, when she enrolled in Ms Hendricks’ Pre-Kindergarten class. In five months, she has begun to write her name with ease, she has developed a love of art, and made a bunch of wonderful new friends, too. It has been so much fun to watch her grow so much academically and socially in such a short time, and we’re excited to see how much further she’ll go!
