Dana Griffin has been passionately serving young children and their families since accepting her first Director position in 1994. She joined a regional for-profit child care provider in 1995 as a Center Director but was quickly promoted to a Regional Director, providing operations support for upwards of 12 schools.
Since relocating to Colorado in 2001, she has worked as an Education and Training Specialist, District Manager and Executive Director for a national child care company. She has earned awards for leading with integrity, outstanding customer retention and Director of the Year. She has presented on topics at local child care conferences and at the national conference for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Dana earned her BA from the University of Rochester, NY and is Large Center Director Qualified in the State of Colorado.
We feel very fortunate to have Dana join the Primrose School at the DTC team, as we work together to provide the highest quality education and care for every child enrolled.
Ashley joins the Primrose School at the DTC management team after serving as the Director for the Primrose School of Wellington in Flower Mound, TX for the past five years. She is extremely familiar with the excellent education and philosophy of Primrose and believes strongly that she can deliver the best educational child care to the community here at the Denver Tech Center.
As a Colorado native and University of Northern Colorado grad, Ashley is excited to be back home and very much looks forward to meeting with you and your family to assist in transitioning your child to the Primrose School at the DTC!

Ms. Robertson joined our in our team in May of 2014 as the Administrative Assistant. Ms. Robertson previously operated her own in-home child care for six years providing care and education to children ages three and younger. In addition to her ECE experience, Ms. Robertson previously served as an Office Manager for a private dental group.
As the Administrative Assistant, Ms. Robertson provides support to the management team while aiding the teachers and families at Primrose – DTC. Ms. Robertson has aspirations to purse both her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) and Large Center Director qualifications during the 2014 – 2015 school year.
Ms. Huff earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Language Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado. She spent six years as a teacher working with children ages 6 weeks through preschool on both the Langley and Buckley Air Force Base. Ms. Huff joined our Primrose – DTC team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year as an Assistant Teacher while she finished her Early Childhood Teacher and Infant Nursery Supervisor qualifications. Ms. Huff’s primary teaching assignment is with our Infant program.
Ms. Rose joined our Primrose – DTC team during the Summer of 2013. Ms. Rose is Early Childhood Teacher qualified with over five years of experience as an Infant Teacher for other licensed child care programs along with college level coursework in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Rose is a Primary Teacher for our Infant programs.
Ms. Farzam earned her degree in obstetrics in Iran and was a practicing midwife in both Iran and Italy prior to immigrating to the United States with her husband, son and daughter back in 2001. She is Early Childhood Teacher qualified and has over 6 years of experience teaching infants and toddlers in a licensed child care setting. Ms. Farzam is a Primary Teacher with our Infant program.
Ms. Tankersley joined our team in August of 2014 after serving as a long-term Substitute Teacher for our school beginning in February of that year. Ms. Tankersley has an A.A.S. Degree in Early Childhood Professions Early Childhood Teacher, Infant Nursery Supervisor and Center Director qualified. She has taught in licensed preschool programs for 29 years and is now excited to focus on teaching and caring for our youngest students, infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months.
Ms. Tankersley is one of the Primary Teachers for our Infant Blue classroom.
Ms. Steen earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and recently relocated to Denver to attend Graduate School. Ms. Steen has prior experience as a Lead Preschool and Lead Infant Teacher. She joined the Primrose – DTC team as an Assistant Auxiliary Teacher primarily supporting the Infant and Toddler programs.
Ms. Clark joined the Primrose – DTC teaching team in July of 2014. She has an Associates’ Degree along with four years of experience as a Lead Infant Teacher for a national child care provider. She looks forward to completing her Early Childhood Teacher coursework in the near future.
Ms. Clark is an Assistant Auxiliary Teacher supporting all of our Infant classrooms.
Ms. Zwiebach joined our teaching team in March of 2014. She attended the University of Colorado – Boulder where she earned dual degrees in Sociology and English. Ms. Zweibach has held several long-term nanny positions while working her way through college. She is preparing to enroll in early childhood education courses through the local community college to earn her Early Childhood Teacher certification by fall of 2014.
Ms. Zwiebach is an Assistant Teacher in our Young Toddler classroom.
Ms. Forrest joined our teaching team in April of 2014. A mother of two, Ms. Forrest earned her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualifications through Aurora Community College and has several years of experience teaching in Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers with licensed child care programs.
Initially, Ms. Forrest was an Auxiliary Teacher supporting our Infant and Toddler programs. As of June 2014, she was promoted to Primary Teacher of our Older Infant (Wobbler) Classroom.
Ms. Lumpkin joined our teaching team in May of 2014. She earned both her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualifications and completed the required coursework to be Large Center Director qualified through Arapahoe Community College. She has experienced working in a licensed Montessori program and served as a nanny prior to joining the Primrose – DTC team. Ms. Lumpkin is the mother to two daughters; one is an infant and the other is enrolled in our Preschool program.
After initially serving as an Auxiliary Teacher, Ms. Lumpkin joined our Young Toddler classroom full-time in July, 2014 as a Primary Teacher.
Ms. Bengheshir joined our teaching staff shortly after our school opened. She is Early Childhood Teacher qualified and is in school to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Metro State University. Ms. Bengheshir has worked in child care for over five years and was recommended to Primrose School at the Denver Tech Center by several parents of her former students. Ms. Bengheshir is a Primary Teacher for our Toddler program.
Ms. Hutchinson graduated from CU - Boulder in December 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a minor in French. She returned to school in the Spring of 2013 to complete her ECE coursework to be Early Childhood Teacher qualified in the State of Colorado. She will earn her Infant Nursery Supervisor qualifications in 2014. Ms. Hutchinson was a nanny throughout her college career. She has always loved children and she is excited to finally be a part of the Primrose – DTC team.
Ms. Shriver joined our teaching team in July of 2014. She assisted her mother who operated an in-home child care and has served as a nanny for families with multiple children.
Ms. Shriver supports our Toddler classrooms as an Assistant Teacher.
Ms. Elfaki joined our team in August of 2014. She earned her degree in Electrical Engineering in Sudan, prior to immigrating to the United States. Ms. Elfaki completed her Early Childhood Teacher coursework at the Community College of Aurora and looks forward to returning to school to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Professions. Ms. Elfaki over 2 years of experience teaching children ages 24 months and younger in a licensed child care setting.
Ms. Elfaki is the Primary Auxiliary Teacher supporting the Toddler classrooms.
Ms. Suri joined the Primrose – DTC teaching team in July of 2014. She earned her BS while living in Mumbai, India and completed her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through Arapahoe Community College. She has 7 years of experience teaching children ages 12 months to 3 years in both Montessori and traditional child care settings.
Ms. Suri is a Primary Teacher in our Toddler Blue classroom.
Ms. Hanger joined the Primrose – DTC teaching team in July of 2014. She earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University, in Georgia. While living in Georgia, Ms. Hanger taught 2 year olds at a licensed child care facility for two years.
Ms. Hanger is a Primary Teacher in our Early Preschool Green classroom.
Ms. Rubbo has worked in the Early Childhood Education field for 7 years and loves working with children ages 2 and under. She earned both her Early Childhood Teacher Qualification and Infant Nursery Supervisor Qualification prior to joining our Primrose team. She is a Primary Teacher for our Early Preschool program.
Ms. Ford joined the Primrose – DTC teaching team in August of 2014. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Besides her interest in teaching, Ms. Ford is also a gymnastics instructor teaching both private and group lessons for young children.
Ms. Ford is a Primary Auxiliary Teacher supporting all programs.
Ms. Wilhelm joined our teaching team in April of 2014. She graduated from the University of Houston with her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She has 8 years of experience teaching children ages 3 to 10 in both the elementary and private child care setting.
Originally, Ms. Wilhelm began her career with Primrose DTC as an Auxiliary Teacher but was quickly promoted to a Primary Teacher in one of our Early Preschool classrooms.
Ms. Benjamin joined our team in August of 2014. She completed her BS from the University of Nebraska, Omaha and is currently pursuing a Masters of Early Childhood Education through Concordia University. Ms. Benjamin has worked with young children off all ages in both the licensed child care and Elementary School settings.
Ms. Benjamin is an Assistant Teacher for the Early Preschool Blue classroom and will transition into a Primary Teacher role by the end of the calendar year.
Ms. Schlecht joined our team in September of 2014. Ms. Schlecht earned her BA in Elementary and Special Education with an Early Childhood Education Certification from Northern Arizona University. She has taught Early Preschool in a licensed child care setting in addition to her work as a dance instructor for young children.
Ms. Schlecht is a Primary Teacher for our Junior Preschool class.
Ms. Powell joined out teaching staff at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Ms. Powell has served as a Teacher’s Aide, Teacher and Caregiver to children in both a licensed child care and private elementary school setting. She is a Primary Teacher for our Early Preschool program.
Ms. Gray joined the Primrose – DTC teaching team in July of 2014. Ms. Gray taught Preschool in California for 15 years and also served as a Special Education Instructional Aide for the local school district. She has completed over 24 credit hours in Early Childhood Education and looks forward to completing her Early Childhood Teacher coursework in the near future.
Ms. Gray is an Assistant Auxiliary Teacher primarily assigned to assist with our Early Preschool and Junior Preschool programs.
Ms. Craig officially joined our team in August of 2014 after serving as a long-term Substitute Teacher for six months. Ms. Craig attended the Emily Griffith School and was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) before following her passion of teaching young children. Ms. Craig is excited to pursue her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through the local community college in the near future.
Ms. Craig is an Assistant Auxiliary Teacher primarily supporting the Early Preschool and Junior Preschool classrooms.
Ms. Rosin earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and spent six years as a Speech & Language Pathology Assistant for Aurora Public Schools in their Early Childhood and Elementary programs. She has completed college level Early Childhood Education coursework to earn her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications. Ms. Rosin is a Primary Teacher for our Toddler programs.
Ms. Willis began her career with Primrose – DTC in June of 2014. She earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through the Community College of Denver and is continuing her education at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Ms. Willis has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education teaching children ages 5 and younger since 2008.
She serves as an Auxiliary Teacher supporting all of the ages and programs offered at Primrose – DTC.
Ms. Fleming grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and earned a B.S. in Elementary Education. She decided she wanted to be a teacher from the time she was in middle school and has never wavered from that desire and passion. She moved to Colorado in 1982 and was a substitute teacher for 10 years for preschool through 6th grade. She spent 2009 – 2012 as a preschool teacher for Aurora Public Schools prior to joining our team. Ms. Fleming is a Primary Teacher for our Preschool Program.
Ms. McConnell joined our teaching team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. She earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualification in 2011 and has been employed in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2007. Ms. McConnell has provided care and education for children ages 2 to 13. Ms. McConnell is an Auxiliary Teacher providing support to the Early Preschool and Preschool Programs.
Ms. Nester joined our team in March of 2014. She earned her BS in Elementary Education from Millikin University and then completed her Master’s in Education from University of Missouri – St. Louis. She taught 2nd grade for two years in addition to almost 8 years of experience teaching preschool.
Ms. Nester is a Primary Auxiliary Teacher supporting all programs from Toddlers to Pre-Kindergarten.
Ms. Smelter joined our teaching team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. She earned her BA in Elementary Education/Special Education from the University of Arizona, Flagstaff. Ms. Smelter worked at a Primrose School as an Assistant Teacher during her breaks from school. After completing her degree, she taught in the public schools prior to relocating from Arizona. Ms. Smelter is a Primary Teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten Program.
Ms. Mateo joined our team in March of 2014. Ms. Mateo earned her BA from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico with an emphasis in Child Development and Psychology. She is a licensed teacher in the State of Colorado with an Early Childhood Teaching credential. Ms. Mateo has spent 4 years teaching preschool at Samuel’s Elementary, before that she was a Teaching Fellow for Denver Public Schools.
Ms. Mateo is a Primary Teacher for our Pre-Kindergarten program.
Ms. Palmquist graduated from the University of Colorado in August 2013 with her BA in Early Childhood Education. While attending school she worked as an Early Childhood Teacher developing and implementing lesson plans for a classroom of mixed ages 2 ½ to 5 years. Prior to that, she was employed as a Teacher’s Aid providing education and care to children ages 1 ½ to 5 years.
Ms. Palmquist joined the Primrose – DTC teaching staff at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. She is a Primary Teacher for the Preschool Program.
Ms. Durham is Early Childhood Teacher qualified with over ten years of experience teaching children ages 3 and younger. She completed ECE coursework through Arapahoe Community College. She joined the Primrose – DTC team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. While qualified as a Lead Teacher, Ms. Durham serves a Naptime Nanny/Teacher’s Aide.
Ms. Robnett joined the Primrose DTC team in July of 2014 as our School Chef. She has worked in food service for local restaurants and as part of the Denver University Student Dining Services team. Ms. Robnett has also completed volunteer hours working with young children.
