Ms. Cione earned her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado and has been affiliated with Primrose Schools for over ten years. Prior to opening our DTC school, Ms. Cione was director of a very well regarded Primrose School in suburban Dallas for nearly five years.
As a Colorado native, Ms. Cione is very excited to be back home and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her lead our outstanding teaching team! We know that your family will benefit tremendously from her positive energy, unwavering commitment, and deep knowledge of Primrose School’s Balanced Learning philosophy.
In addition to managing our teachers and coordinating the school's overall operations, Ms. Cione leads the orientation for all new families and looks forward to welcoming you and your children to Primrose School at the DTC.
Ms. Willis initially joined our team as a Primary Auxiliary Teacher and has supported all of our classrooms and programs. That role is actually quite unique, as our Auxiliary teachers typically focus on one pod or developmental level (e.g. Infants vs. Pre-Kindergarten); however, Ms. Willis excels at all levels within our school.
Given Ms. Willis's strong rapport with her colleagues and her outstanding qualities as an early childhood educator and mentor, she was promoted to Assistant Director in June, 2015. In this role, Ms. Willis serves as our point person for implementing Pyramid practices in conjunction with our partners from CU Denver's Positive Early Learning Experiences (PELE) Center. Pyramid is a nationally recognized ECE program for promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age five.
Ms. Willis earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through the Community College of Denver and is continuing her education at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She will soon complete her Large Center Director qualifications.
Prior to joining our team in May, 2014, Ms. Robertson operated her own in-home child care for six years where she provided care and education to children ages three and younger. Ms. Robertson has also served as an Office Manager for a private othrodontic practice.
As our school's Office Manager, Ms. Robertson provides support to the management team while aiding the teachers and families at Primrose DTC. Her warm and welcoming presence in our reception embodies our school's commitment to excellent customer service, positive interpersonal engagement and sincere concern for the children at our school. In addition to greeting all of our guests and enrolled families, Ms. Robertson is responible for managing all of our children's records, our medical administration processes and our healthy menu planning.
Ms. Robertson has her Early Childhood Teaching credentials and is also pursuing coursework to achieve her Large Center Director certification.
Ms. Palmquist graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in August 2013 with her BA in Early Childhood Education. While attending school she worked as an Early Childhood Teacher developing and implementing lesson plans for a classroom of mixed ages 2 ½ to 5 years. Prior to that, she was employed as a Teacher’s Aid providing education and care to children ages 1½ to 5 years.
Ms. Palmquist joined the Primrose DTC teaching staff at the beginning of the 2013-14 school year and is a Primary Teacher for the Pre-Kindergarten Green classroom and a Pod Lead for our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs. Ms. Palmquist is also fully qualified as a Large Center Director.
Ms. Schlecht joined our team in September, 2014. She earned her BA in Elementary and Special Education with an Early Childhood Education Certification from Northern Arizona University. She has taught Early Preschool in a licensed child care setting, in addition to her work as a dance instructor for young children. We love her enthusiasm and the consistent, positive direction she provides her students.
Ms. Schlecht is a Primary Teacher for our Junior Preschool classroom, and Pod Lead for our Early Preschool and Junior Preschool programs.
Ms. Hutchinson graduated from CU - Boulder in December 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a minor in French. She continued her studies to earn her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) credentials in 2013, as well as achieve her Infant Nursery Supervisor qualifications in 2014. Ms. Hutchinson was a nanny throughout her college career and has always loved children. She is currently pursuing her Large Center Director qualifications and is a recipient of the T.E.A.C.H. scholarship through Qualistar of Colorado.
Ms. Hutchinson is a Primary Teacher in our Toddler Green classroom and Pod Lead for our Toddlers program.
Ms. Huff earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Language Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado. She spent six years as a teacher working with children ages 6 weeks through preschool on both the Langley and Buckley Air Force Base. Ms. Huff joined our Primrose DTC team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year as an Assistant Teacher, while she finished her Early Childhood Teacher and Infant Nursery Supervisor qualifications.
Ms. Huff is a Primary Teacher in our Infant Green classroom and is fully qualified as an Infant Nursery Supervisor. She is also the Pod Lead for all 3 of our infant classrooms, where she coordinates curriculum implementation, best practice sharing and orientation for new families and teachers.
Ms. Ramos received her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso in May, 2008. She then spent the next six years as a Lead Teacher for children ages 3 to 5 at Head Start Cesar Chavez in El Paso and SOAR Charter School in Denver. Ms. Ramos is bilingual in Spanish and English, and brings an unwavering sense of compassion and dedication to her students.
Ms. Ramos originally served as a Primary Teacher in our Preschool program during her first yeat with us at Primrose DTC, and will soon transition to be a Primary Teacher in our private Pre-Kindergarten for the 2015-16 academic year.
Ms. Lasley earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University in 2014. Ms. Lasley is licensed to teach early childhood. Prior to joining Primrose DTC, Ms. Lasley had been a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in Fort Collins for three years and has also served as a girls' camp counselor for over five years.
Having worked closely as a co-teacher with Ms. Palmquist and Ms. Nester, Ms. Lasley is opening our Pre-Kindergarten Blue classroom for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Ms. Fleming grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and earned a B.S. in Elementary Education. She decided she wanted to be a teacher from the time she was in middle school and has never wavered from that desire and passion. She moved to Colorado in 1982 and was a substitute teacher for 10 years for preschool through 6th grade. She spent 2009 – 2012 as a preschool teacher for Aurora Public Schools prior to joining our team.
Ms. Fleming is a Primary Teacher in our Preschool Green classroom.
Ms. McConnell joined our teaching team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. She earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualification in 2011 and has been employed in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2007. Ms. McConnell has provided care and education for children ages 2 to 13.
Ms. McConnell is a Primary Teacher in our Preschool Blue classroom.
Ms. Whitlow joined our team earlier this year and partnered with Ms. Schlecht as a Primary Teacher in Jr. Preschool. With the start of the 2015-16 academic year, we asked Ms. Whitlow to lead our Early Preschool Green classroom and partner with Ms. Lori Gray. Ms. Whitlow has been working with young children for over 10 years in education, youth ministry, and support for children with special needs.
Ms. Whitlow is the Primary Teacher in Early Preschool Green. She will also be certified as a Large Center Director withing the coming year.
Ms. Powell joined out teaching staff at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Ms. Powell has served as a Teacher’s Aide, Teacher and Caregiver to children in both a licensed child care and private elementary school setting.
Ms. Powell is a Primary Auxiliary Teacher supporting our Early and Junior Preschool programs.
Ms. Ford joined the Primrose DTC teaching team in August, 2014. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Besides her interest in teaching, Ms. Ford is also a gymnastics instructor teaching both private and group lessons for young children.
Ms. Ford is a Primary Teacher in our Early Preschool Blue classroom.
Ms. Ross joined our teaching team after working previously in the Early Preschool program at another Primrose School. She has been working with young children for over six years. Earlier this year, Ms. Ross was awarded a TEACH scholarship through Qualistar and recently completed her Early Childhood coursework to become certified as a lead Early Childhood Teacher.
Ms. Ross is a Primary Teacher in our Early Preschool Blue classroom.
Ms. Gray joined the Primrose DTC teaching team in July, 2014. Ms. Gray taught Preschool in California for 15 years and also served as a Special Education Instructional Aide for the local school district. She has completed over 24 credit hours in Early Childhood Education and looks forward to completing her Early Childhood Teacher coursework in the near future.
Ms. Gray is an Assistant Teacher in our Early Preschool Green classroom.
Ms. Suri joined the Primrose DTC teaching team in July of 2014. She earned her BS while living in Mumbai, India and completed her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through Arapahoe Community College. She has 7 years of experience teaching children ages 12 months to 3 years in both Montessori and traditional child care settings.
Ms. Suri is a Primary Teacher in our Toddler Blue classroom.
Ms. Naus joined our teaching staff shortly after our school opened. She is Early Childhood Teacher qualified and is in school to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Metro State University. Ms. Naus has worked in child care for nearly ten years and was recommended to Primrose School at the Denver Tech Center by several parents of her former students.
Ms. Naus is a Primary Teacher in our Toddler Green classroom.
Ms. James joined our teaching team at the beginning of the 2013 – 2014 school year, and initially served as a Primary Auxiliary Teacher in our Infant and Toddler programs. Ms. James earned her BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and is currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Master’s Degree program at the University of Colorado – Denver.
Ms. James is a Primary Teacher in our Young Toddler classroom.
Ms. Forrest joined our teaching team in April, 2014, serving initially as a Primary Auxiliary Teacher in our Infant and Toddler programs. A mother of two, Ms. Forrest earned her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualifications through Aurora Community College and has several years of experience teaching in Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers with licensed child care programs.
As of June 2014, Ms. Forrest is a Primary Teacher of our Older Infant (Wobbler) Classroom.
Ms. Rose joined our Primrose DTC team during the Summer of 2013. Ms. Rose is Early Childhood Teacher qualified with over five years of experience as an Infant Teacher for other licensed child care programs along with college level coursework in Early Childhood Education.
Ms. Rose is a Primary Teacher for our Infant Blue classroom.
Ms. Clark joined the Primrose DTC teaching team in July of 2014. She has an Associates’ Degree along with four years of experience as a Lead Infant Teacher for a national child care provider. She looks forward to completing her Early Childhood Teacher coursework in the near future.
Ms. Clark is an Assistant Auxiliary Teacher supporting our Infant classrooms.
Ms. Farzam earned her degree in obstetrics while living in Persia and was a practicing midwife in both Persia and Italy prior to relocating to the United States with her husband, son and daughter in 2001. While in the U.S., Ms. Farzam earned her Associates Degree and worked for Denver Public Schools for three years. In addition, Ms. Farzam is qualfied as an Infant Nursery Supervisor and has over seven years experience teaching infants and toddlers in a licensed child care facility.
Ms. Farzam is a Primary Teacher in our Infant Green classroom.
Ms. Robnett joined the Primrose DTC team in July of 2014 as our School Chef. She has worked in food service for local restaurants and as part of the Denver University Student Dining Services team. Ms. Robnett has also completed volunteer hours working with young children.
