About Our Primrose School

You have great hopes for your child. And so do we. That is why Primrose Schools distinguishes itself by creating a safe and nurturing environment where children are happy and continually preparing for a bright tomorrow.

PHILOSOPHY
At Primrose Schools we offer more than a daycare experience. We call our unique preschool accredited curriculum Balanced Learning, blending the two leading philosophies of teaching children. One of those philosophies endorses a child-initiated approach, in which children are free to explore their individual interest with teacher support. The other places a greater emphasis on teacher direction, where an established preschool curriculum leads children along a consistent learning path.

Through Balanced Learning, we combine the best of both child care philosophies. We let the particular interests of each child serve as the springboard to healthy social, emotional, physical and academic development, while teachers guide them to self assurance and prepare them for lifelong academic and social success.

ACCREDITATION
Our curriculum and program have achieved accreditation status from CITA/SACS, two of the most prominent and respected education associations in the country. For more than 100 years, these prestigious associations have been recognized as the gold standard in evaluating schools and colleges, but Primrose was the first educational preschool to receive this accreditation award.

ASSESSMENTS
Three methodologies used in our Balanced Assessment help us guide and improve instruction for each individual child. Our assessments monitor each child’s development and mastery of important academic skills, incorporating the various learning styles and strengths of each child. Our three-step approach includes Informal Assessments (based on teacher observations and student work samples), Formal Assessments (a more systematized record of progress as well as nationally-normed Bracken Assessments), and Yearly Longitudinal Studies (parent-satisfaction questionnaires that also report elementary school standardized results of former Primrose students).

PROGRAMS
Our private preschool offers full-time infant (3 months) to Pre-K (age 5) child care programs. We also offer part-time child care programs (M-W-F or T-TH).

Besides our balanced academic curriculum (which includes Spanish, Sign Language, and Computers) and our state of the art playgrounds (including an organic garden), we include enrichment activities such as a Dance and a Music program and more. This assures an enriching experience for your child each day.

We have a proven track record and an outstanding reputation in the community.
