John and Jenifer McKnight
We are very proud that Primrose School of Buford is accredited by SACS-CITA, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. SACS is the agency that accredits all schools at every level in the Southeast. Very few pre-schools have earned this prestigious distinction. In fact, we are the ONLY SACS accredited school in the Buford and Sugar Hill area. It means that when we talk about teaching pre-school children, we mean it!
The Primrose School of Buford is independently owned and operated by Jenifer and John McKnight. The McKnight's were a Primrose family (son Sean) since long before they became Primrose owners. Jenifer is a graduate of Georgia State University, and was honored as The Outstanding Student in Journalism. She previously worked as a writer, producer, and reporter at WGNX-TV in Atlanta. Before joining the Primrose Family, John enjoyed a long and successful career as a Broadcast Journalist, most recently as the primary news anchor at WGNX-TV. John has been honored with numerous journalism awards, including Emmy's and AP awards. He has also been honored for his long and active committment to the community.
Jenifer and John have two children, Sean and Caitlin. John also has two grown children, Jonathan and Andy. They also have a granddaughter Anna and a grandson, Matthew.
The McKnights are also the winners of the Presidents Award! This high honor was awarded by the Primrose Schools Franchising Company at the 2005 conference. The McKnights were chosen for the outstanding reputation of the school, their commitment to the franchise organization, and to the Buford community. This year, they were named for the third year in a row,as recipients of the Diamond Sponosr Award for contributing the most money to the Primrose Children's Foundation. The Primrose School of Buford has also been chosen as an On-Site Training school for future franchisees...a high honor fromt the Primrose Corporate Office.
