PRIMROSE SCHOOL – SUMMER CAMP
· Great Outdoors – June 11th to June 15th
Enjoy an outdoor hike, take a trip to the park, and bring nature to the classroom with plants and flowers. We will visit a local jungle and experience the exotic creatures and animals. See acrocodile show and pet a flamingo, while afterwards enjoy playing at the outdoor play station in the woods. We will learn how to set up camp and make jewelry from our rock tumbling, but don’t be in a rush ‘cause it will take several weeks for them to shine!
· Games & Game Shows – June 18th to June 23rd
Everyone loves to play games and this week of Summer Camp will focus on just that! Students share favorite games with each other, learn new games, and even create and host a few game shows of their own! Enjoy our Wii Olympics, water play, and field day events. Will you win the Price’s Right or will your team break the egg or water balloon in our “field day” obstacle course.
· Inventions & Robotics – June 25th to June 29nd
Explorers let their imaginations soar this week as they learn about inventions throughout history and discover ideas of their own. Volcano’s will be erupting, roller coasters will be made and filmed, and experience our airplane, space shuttle, and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in our Lego land sets. Look for “water play” Friday to experience a special launchof our 7-foot tall rocket!
· Music & Dance – July 2th to July 6th
During this week, students listen to music, attend musical or dance performances, play musical instruments, and put on concerts and performances of their own! Let your child be a star in our “live” Karaoke contest, or be part of aband with their friends.
· Underwater Exploration – July 9th to July 13th
Students dive in to underwater fun as they explore lakes and oceans this week. Dig for prehistoric fossils and try to find real shark’s teeth in our classroom beaches. Explorers visit local aquariums, create virtual aquariums, and more in this unit!
· Summer & Sports – July 16th to July 20nd
The Summer Games makes this the perfect time for Explorers to participate in and learn about various sports! Participate in Field Day with all the games and contests competing against your friends and learn about the upcoming Olympics taking place in London.
· Time Travel & Space – July 23rd to July 27th
Students pack their virtual suitcases this week as they expand their horizons with virtual travel to new places! Students learn more about the foods, cultures, people, and landmarks on this trip around the world! Travel back in time as we take a look at into history. We explore the sock hops and poodle skirts of the 1950s, leisure suits and disco balls of the 1970s, moon walk through the 1980s,and more! Look for “water play” Friday to experience a special launch of our 7-foot tall rocket!
· Science Experiments – July 30th to August 3th
Trips to discovery centers and science museums bring out the scientist in everyone! During Science week, students can try their own science experiments as they hypothesize, explore, experiment, and discover. Look for “water play” Friday to experience a special launch of our 7-foot tall rocket!
· Movies & Film – August 6th to August 10th
Watch favorite movies and take a trip to the nearby theatre and IMAX to see favorite films—old and new. Explorers even try their hand at film production with movies of their own! Schedule permitting, we will take a trip to experience the great shows of the Historic Asolo Theatre.
· Museums – August 13th to August 16th
Students explore Egyptian Hieroglyphics,dinosaur skeletons, mementos from major events in history, etc. as they take trips to local museums and more. Experience one of the Greatest Shows on Earth and see for yourself theamazing Tibbals Exhibit---the world’s largest miniature circus!
