Young Toddler

"When my husband and I were looking into Primrose, we were most impressed with the cleanliness, toys, curriculum, community focus and external programs. The most important factors were the friendliness of the staff and the joy we saw on the children."

Flourishing in an environment that fosters a love for learning and a positive self-image

A Philosophy of Balance
A fully balanced day—the caring atmosphere, a reassuring routine, and stimulating activities—provides toddlers with a sense of security and an environment that promotes exploration and learning.

Developing by “Doing”
Through the accredited Balanced Learning® Young Toddler and Toddler curriculum, children will enjoy stories, toys, music, games, building blocks, and more.

Communication and Caring
Every day, your toddler’s teachers provide you with a report on your child’s development, activities, and discoveries.

Balanced Learning for Young Toddlers and Toddlers
Weekly Units of Learning are designed to give teachers the information and materials they need to support the learning and development of the children in their classroom.

Expressive Language Development
Primrose Schools introduced the use of American Sign Language to improve the way parents and teachers interact with infants and toddlers. Through simple signs, toddlers are able to communicate their wants, needs, and observations in a manner that adults clearly understand.

A Primrose Classroom Designed Just for Toddlers!
Reading aloud to children helps to develop children’s receptive language, and imagination. It also builds a foundation for literacy learning. During Og’s Story Time with the Primrose Literature Kit and large collection of classroom books, teachers provide toddlers with interactive experiences with books. At Primrose, we select books with predictable stories that invite children to participate by posing simple questions, and repeating sounds, rhymes and refrains.

Encouraging Individual Growth and Development
Young children mature and develop skills at different rates. With this in mind, Primrose Toddler teachers observe and record each child’s development throughout the year.
