Primrose Difference
Parents and Educational Experts Agree:
It’s ALL A’s
for Primrose Schools’ exclusive Balanced Learning® Program
You can trust our exclusive Balanced Learning program to provide the best early education for
your child. Our approach has earned high marks for carefully blending child-initiated and
teacher-directed activities—
strategies based on leading philosophies in early childhood education—with the very special Primrose focus on character and values.
Achievement
90% of Primrose students achieved elementary school test scores well above the national average.
A recent independent study reinforced that Primrose students have a strong academic foundation as well as a
love of learning, positive self-esteem, character, and a strong sense of values.

Assessment
Three methodologies used in Primrose’s Balanced Assessment® help us guide and improve
instruction for each individual child. Our assessments monitor each child’s development
and mastery of important academic skills, incorporating the various learning styles and
strengths of each child.
- Informal Assessments are based on teacher observations and student work samples.
Information is collected that reflects student skills and progress throughout the school
year.
- Formal Assessment focuses on more systematized records of progress such as Student
Evaluations and nationally-normed Bracken assessments.
- Yearly Longitudinal Studies use parent-satisfaction questionnaires that also report
elementary school standardized test results of former Primrose students.
Thanks to the winning combination of Balanced Learning and Balanced Assessment, Primrose
students are prepared for school success when leaving our school.
Accreditation
Primrose is the first educational child care company to achieve accreditation
for meeting stringent standards on curriculum, safety and teacher training from the associations listed below which are recognized as the gold standard in school evaluations:
- the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), and
- the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI), or
- the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI)
This accreditation not only validates Primrose’s curriculum but clearly underscores its position
as the leader in early childhood education and quality child care.
